The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

It’s Tukee
Wide open course fairways are in good shape for how busy it’s gets. Greens are excellent. Great for beginners or high cappers like me.
Good course, getting better
Good pace, nice marshall, beverages prices reasonable, good kitchen, great staff. Carts are gas and getting old. Fairways and aprons around greens are too high. Greens roll well. Cart paths in much better shape.
Reasonable Course
Fairways are OK, greens are good. Besides that nothing fancy. Course design is kind of boring. Speed of play was due to the time (6.50am) great. Staff was friendly. As we played early Monday, nobody had emptied the trash cans, yet. So there was a lot of trash from the weekend on each tee.
Nice track
The course was in good shape considering the traffic it gets. Good tee boxes, fairways in good shape and good greens that had solid rolls. Good course for all levels - especially beginners. Fairly open and straight on most holes.
Nice conditions but slow pace
The pace of play of a group who started a couple holes ahead quickly impacted play. What was a single and a twosome ahead of us also merged at the second hole due to the pace of the foursome ahead of them. We ended up skipping two holes, and these two groups as it was clear as we watched them complete the hole we were waiting on the tee for and start at the next tee box we’d be in for a very slow round. We played the remaining holes complete unimpeded.
Fairways and greens are in very good condition, but if our ball missed the fairway it was unlikely to be on any grass.
Pace of play
Need a ranger to control players who are obnoxious and slowing pace because of their actions.
Great Day
The grass is pretty rough but they are slowly improving. Still a lot of weeds and bare spots but was still a great day out. Plenty to keep the average golfer on their toes
It appears that they are watering and working on greening up the course. More overseeding would help a lot.
Needs a lot of work
Staff was friendly, lay out was good.
Fairways were rough and the rough was really bad !!!!. Course looks like it has not been maintained for a number of years. Probably worth 1/2 the price they are charging for a round.
Disappointing
The course has seen better days.Greens were shaggy and slow. Fairways spotty and rough non-existent. Driving the cart was a very dusty experience. Pay a little more and get a better golf course.
Fairways could use a little work.

Back of the bus
I have no idea why my tee time was pushed to 232 pm and was not informed of this. We had a group ahead of us that was delayed hole after hole like our group due to a very very Large group ahead of them. I called as was told someone would be out to correct this. No one showed up so after 9 holes we packed up and left. Due to our timings we would never complete the round whatsoever.
