The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Ahwatukee cc
Lots of dirt spots on fairways.
Many divots left on greens.
I fixed 3-4 most every green.
Too Slow
5 hours and 50 minutes for 18 holes is unacceptable. Never saw a course marshall out there.
Great pace of play
Played as twosome and only slightly held up for just over 3 hour round. Course is in great condition.
One more round
The course is in rough shape. Lots of bare areas. 80% of the greens were shaggy and slow. Pace of play was slower than necessary.
Good shorter course
Course is somewhat hurt from summer scorch. Greens are green and nice except I spent time every green fixing divots. Left 100s of divots unfixed. What is wrong with golfers not fixing their divots.
Fairways were fair considering dry summer scorch.
Play was slow every hole but we delt with it. Glad to play it again. Been probably 6 or more years since playing it.
Course Condition not good, staff was very friendly.
Played a round of gold at this course today. Course condition was not good, overseed was complete, but grass seemed awfully sparse. Staff was very friendly, bar waitress was not very attentive, but prices were pretty good. Nice clubhouse area now, but need to work on the course itself.
Course Improving
The grass is looking better, staff is friendly and professional. I just wish I would have played better
