The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Course Conditions
There has been work over the last year to improve the course, after at least a 10 year gap of doing anything. Improvements include tee yardage markers and benches. There is still a lot to do to make this course saleable as is the plan. They tried to fix the practice green but now its been dug up and just sits there with a mound of dirt and nothing done. It's a real disappointment to the area from what it was back in the 80s.

Crabby Cart attendant ruins start of day
The old guy that gives the carts out is an jerk, crabby, and starts everyones day out bad. Treats you like a second class citizen. Acts as if you are using HIS golf carts. God forbid if you sit in one or put your clubs on one before he checks your passport, birth certificate, and oh yeah your receipt before your butt can touch the seat. Too bad. EVERYTIME I PLAY THERE, THE CART COP RUINS THE DAY. I would play there more if he were not there.

Out of town visit
When I visit, I like to play here. Great value. Don’t let the shorter holes deceive you…what this course lacks in distance makes up for in undulating fairways that force all golfers to hit their spots or pay the price. I’d like to see better rough conditions and fairways can be a little spotty, but greens seem well maintained. It is worth the money and the staff is great. Fun muni course for low and high handicappers.
Crappy Course - Owner is letting it rot
It's such a shame how all Ahwatukee Golf Properties have either closed or gone downhill. The fairways are bare and dusty, the bunkers have very little sand. Maintenance is almost non-existent.
It's like the owner of the golf course wants to make sure that ACC loses money.
Shame on Wilson Gee for destroying golf in Ahwatukee!
I got a very cheap tee time on Golfnow, but the course conditions were so bad that it simply wasn't worth it.

The Worst Course in Arizona
This Course was in Horrid Condition.
All Tee Boxes were bare.
The Fairways were all bare. Just hitting dirt with tinny patches of infected grass.
The Greens were all infected with bacteria in some form or another.
You know the course is going to be horrible. That wasn’t my issue.
It’s the price. How can a golf course I’m this condition even think to charge $55 for a round of golf in the SUMMER.
This course is a $30 course AT BEST.
They either need to charge a more realistic price, OR fix the conditions.

Poor Course Conditions and Slow Play
The track itself is, ok, but the conditions were atrocious and the pace of play was even worse. It took almost six hours to finish based on our original tee time, which was delayed. The staff was very friendly but that did little to account for the overwhelming shortcomings of the actual play.
Hard to recommend playing this course during this time of year.

Ahwatukee Country Club
This used to be a great course, and I have not played it for years. We decided to go and found the course conditions were worn down. The greens were rough, and the fairways were torn up. I am not sure I would be back unless they revamp the entire golf course.

Place is run by a bunch of hacks and jerks
Signed up to play in a scramble today. Called 6/3/22 to inquire. I talked to a women and I gave my name and my sons name and said it was just the two of us. I have played in enough of these events to know they always have other single and doubles to put a team together. She said ok and took down my phone number. I asked about payment and she told me to pay the day of the tournament. I called again on 6/10/22 at 3:17pm and talked to a gentleman and inquired about the tournament and gave my name and he said nothing but see you Sunday. I drove up from Casa Grande and my son drove from Goodyear (5:75 a gallon gas). We were informed “sorry we are full” I said “why didn’t you call and was told we would have called you if we had an opening. What a bunch of garbage. Spend your money elsewhere. People who cannot communicate the simplest info as to sorry we have no openings the day before and save us the time and cost to drive there. I was really looking forward spending Father’s Day playing golf with my son at what sounded like a fun event.. Again a bunch of hacks run this place. Yes I am very bitter.

Cheap run down track
Played there with a buddy the other day , mainly because the price was only $20. Fairways are half dirt, tee boxes are okay, there is no rough it’s only dirt(even by the greens), the putting was slow but greens quality was solid , layout was solid and challenging. Course has a lot of potential and I would gladly pay $10-15 more per round there for more grass. Good course for people looking to get some practice not on a range, just lookout for breaking your clubs on rocks and dirt if playing there often

Good value but only 9 holes open.
They are doing greens maintenance so only the back 9 are open, but you get to play them twice for $25 which includes your own cart.

Great value this time of year
Nice course for a local dessert course. Lots of bare ground if you don't stay dead center. Water restrictions show. The crews are busy working to make it better. Greens are good. Puts about normal.
