The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

A good course for the money. Staff was great, course condition was good, pace of play was good. Enjoyed our round very much Would definitely play again.

Extremely dissatisfied with your course and pace of play.
Pace of play was appalling, just under three hours to parlay first nine holes. We gave up and came in. No one monitoring pace of play it was just shocking. Parts of course were in dreadful condition.

Conditions are playable and improving
Paid $46 total. 9:52 tee off and the round was completed in 4 hours , played as a single after being matched up with another single and twosome. All players had comparable game so the day was enjoyable I had low round with 84 from white tees. I get super apprehensive on the decision after reading the older reviews. To me the club looks to be making all the efforts to improve course conditions. I wish them well the club is a old Jewel that was fun to play.

Fun Course
It’s a fun, challenging course. It’s recently over seeded so it’s not quite in great shape yet, but pretty good overall.

Don't go
Terrible course. Not sure how they justify the price.
There was one green that had artificial turf patches scattered all over.
I see Ahwatukee Country Club come up on tee off all the time and cannot believe it is there.
Save the money and the aggrivation!!!!

The only thing that saved the day was how perfect the weather was
Pace of play was extremely slow, took 3 hrs to finish the front 9 and only got in 13 holes before it got dark. In addition, the greens were horrible, some of the worst putting conditions I have ever seen. The grass was far too tall and the surface was very bumpy, and the putting was super slow. Fairways were okay after overseeding but if you hit off of the fairway you were frequently in hard packed dirt.

Not a bad course.
My biggest complaint was the 6-some playing in front of us. It took 3+ hours to play 9 holes and we couldn’t make the turn as it got dark. Pace of play AWFUF. The course not bad at all. Greens were in good condition as were the fairways. Again, 1/2 review because a didn’t see the back 9.
