About
Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.
After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Foothills is similar to a number of Phoenix area course that we played this trip. It was the "cheapest", and that was reflected in the quality of the tract in relation to the other area courses we played.
Our round was after a lot of rain, so the greens were not cut or rolled. Not the courses fault, but it was very hard to put and obviously effected my rating.
The course has a nice layout, but is in need of some TLC. This is reflected in the condition of some of the neighborhoods the course winds through.
We enjoyed our day at Foothills, and would recommend it at a hot deal price, however there are nicer options in the area that for a little more $$, you get a much better course and superb views.

Nice course, but slow pace of play
This was our first time playing this course and it was a decent course. Pace of play was very slow. It took us almost 5 hours to play 18 and never once saw a course marshall. The entire time we played, we never saw the beverage cart....NEVER. Probably won't play this course again if we come back to the Phoenix area.
Foothills is amazingly improved
Troon took over this course last year and it is dramatically improved from the Gee owned course after it was sold. The fairways and greens are excellent. We got in at Round 5 pm and the Clubhouse bar and restaurant were already closed. That was a disappointment. Otherwise, the place is better managed despite the increase in green fees. It is worth playing!
Foothills
Conditions really varied between holes. Some in excellent condition and others pretty marginal. Golf carts were pretty tired and no GPS.
Good round on a rainy day
The course is overall in better shape than I have seen it in a while. It had been raining a fair bit and it was cart path only. But two of us still played in under 3hrs. I guess nobody likes to golf in inclement conditions.
Nice Course
Course fairways in great shape. Greens a little slow and patchy. I played with 2 staff members that made my round very enjoyable with their knowledge of the course. I will play again.
