Just Terrible
Don’t leave negative reviews very often but here is one. This could be a nice course with some much needed maintenance. Got to course a little before noon and no maintenance people working. They had at one time some roped off areas to guide cart traffic—those are down on ground with carts driven over them; there was standing water all throughout the 18 holes; the fairways were not mowed nor were the tees; lots of big patches of long weeds that needed to be mowed; greens were a mixture of some grass, weeds and dirt…tough to putt on them. The sand traps were basically hard, compacted sand…impossible to get under the ball and there were rakes but not needed you couldn’t dent the surface. Hard to believe someone is not in charge of the grounds….get some workers and get busy…kinda wish my green fee had gone to course maintenance.
Not bad, not great
Overall condition of course is pretty good, fairways and greens. But many aspects of the course seemed to be run-down and not maintained. From the leaking faucets in the clubhouse, to not bothering to empty the garbage cans on the course. To the sand-traps that looks more like nuclear waste sites. It's really a shame that course with such a nice layout looks like the way it does. Lots of standing water and mud on or near the fairways too.
Paradise valley course
I used to play this course years ago and it has gone downhill. Greens are atrocious, no cart service on a sunday, starter was very unfriendly, course was very unkept. Missed numerous putts bouncing my ball over weeds!
Just don’t
I’ll start with the positives. The price for a tee time is appealing That concludes the positives. A one star of course conditions is generous. Excluding two maybe three of the greens good luck putting because your ball wont roll it will bounce due to the crab grass growing on most of the greens. The cups had lips which deflected putts a few times throughout the day. The fairways aren’t much better, and they aren’t any different that the rough. Staff wasn’t particularly friendly or rude. Hit a bucket of balls on the range to warm up and enjoyed hitting off sand into a dirt field. Just skip this one.
pace of play
Just a suggestion...... I think that the course/ranger starter could have done a much better job controlling the pace of play by combining single golfers into pairs or groups. we had 2 single golfers in front of us and 2 single golfers behind us. Most course would have doubled up the single golfers to help speed up play. we waited on every single hole.
Greens need work
The greens need some good grass. some were weedy and rough.
Good value for the money
Nice little course with friendly staff. Pace of play was great and carts were clean. Definitely could use some attention to emptying the trash cans on course and cleaning the bathrooms, as well as a little love for the greens. But we knew what we were getting into…
This could be a really nice facility with some TLC
