Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

Great greens, 3-hour round
Perhaps it was the 8:15am mid-week tee time, but I played alone for 18 holes in 3 hours seeing (and passing) only one foursome the whole time. Course is not boring, though relatively short. Greens were in great shape and very true. Could have used GPS on the cart or yardage markers.
A non-desert course in Phoenix
If you're looking to get away from the desert courses, the Adobe course is a good change of pace. It's pretty straightforward - what you see is what you get. It was in great shape, too.
Good shape but fairways to close together as many balls from other fairways end up to close to you
Fairways to tight to many balls from other fairways coming into your fairways
No golf
We did not get to play because of a frost delay that moved our tee time so far into the future that completing 18 holes would have been impossible to complete before darkness - therefore we did not play.
Just a super great course to play...
We will definitely want to play this course again...$$$$$'s permitting!
Confidence Booster
The ourse is flat and wide. It was a very pleasant round. Pace was great because people weren't spending time looking for their balls. High;y recommend this course especially for those that do not play often.
Adobe was wide open
Enjoyed the course with the exception that the greens were slow and bumpy. The bunkers are hard and need more sand. Overall good experience
average course with above average greens fees
Greens fee of $180 (unless you present an AZ driver's license) was at least $100 too high for the course quality and conditions. Also, the GolfNow write up said they had GPS...NOT!f
Great Resort Course
I have always enjoyed playing either of the Biltmore courses. They are fun, forgiving and if you're playing well, very rewarding. The Adobe grill has a nice beer menu and the food is pretty good as well.
Your Typical Resort Course
I have played both courses and have enjoyed them pretty much every single time. Always fun to play that can be very rewarding if you're playing well. It's always nice to look at the scorecard afterwards when you shot well.
underwhelming
had heard good things about the Biltmore and perhaps the links course offers more but Adobe was a back and forth flat layout with little creativity in holes and scenery. Definitely wouldn't put it on my play list.
Great greens
there was a double booking for the tee time I scheduled, so they moved us 20 minutes earlier . Probably not the coarses fault but more golf nows, however we showed up at the time they told us , then there was an 1-1/2 hour frost delay , but once we teed off the coarse was in excellent shape with very well kept greens. The pace was probably as fast as it could be due to everybody being pushed back from the frost delay.
adobe
we were paired up with 2 friendly guys and had an enjoyable round. Greens were in great shape, fairways were good. The place was crowded but we played in 4 hours with only short waits an a few holes. Wide open and no houses to worry about.
Overall a better than average course but not worth the cost
I found this course slightly above average both in it conditions and playability. However, The greens were slow and rough compared to courses of similar features in the immediate area. Also, there was no starter so a group of players, who had a later tee time than us, started before us. Not acceptable! The one very positive plus when playing this course was the speed of play; 3 1/2 hours to complete the round. Awesome! Overall, an average course at a high price.
Biltmore Adobe course
Course was in great shape. The Biltmore is in a great location. It was a great value. Only drawback is no driving range.
Nice course for the money
I enjoy Adobe. The links is a better but busier course. I'm always able to get on Adobe early and seem to fly through the course.
An old classic in the heart of Phoenix
If you're in the Phoenix area and grow tired of playing desert golf, then the Adobe Course is a fine option. Designed by William P. Bell in 1928, not only is there plenty of history here, but it's also a very playable parkland layout. I like courses where you can hit it and find it, but still challenges. With its smallish greens, often protected by water or bunkers, the course isn't a pushover, but your score shouldn't blow up either.
Reseeding Roberry
The greens were long and shaggy. Unputtable. The ball rolled like it was on valcro. I have been golfing for 55 years and these were the worst greens ever played. The rough waa so long it was hard to find your ball and harder to hit. We had a golfnow hot geal of $69 each. This course wouldn't be worth &69 in top condition. Honest information on reseeding status as well as deeper and more realistic discount would help.
Nice course, but overpriced because of location
The course is nice,but compact.
There's beautiful houses surrounding the golf course and greens where decent.
Just about every hole you play, there's another hole parallel to the hole you're playing and most likely somebody will be talking on your backswing.
Bummer,I'd played better courses for half the money!
One of the Faves
This course is always so well kept and the staff are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. The Links course provides a good challenge from the tips. Greens in the summer are always kept a little fuzzy and some of their prices for soda and water are a little high. ($4 for a bottle of dr. pepper? you must be cray!)
Love this course and the view from 15 beats almost any other hole in the valley.
