Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

Biltomore - Adobe Course
Excellent experience. The course was in immaculate condition.
course
needs better score cards to show hole lay out and on course direction from hole to hole
good course in luxury location
Traditional course in good shape and under 4 hours playing time
Adobe course
Basic layout typical resort course nothing special worth the last minute tee time price
Pace of play very slow
Adobe
As you might know from its date, this is an old-style, flat, parkland course. Not a lot of variety in hole design, but a well-kept nice course. Greens are small and well-bunkered. Plays longer than advertised, as the fairways are lush and there is very little roll on tee shots. 18 holes are packed together tightly, so some tee boxes are beside greens or landing areas, and one needs to be aware of other golfers hitting towards you. Surrounded by large, beautiful, old stately homes. Overall, a good experience.
Nice course
Given the Golfnow greens fee, this was actually a pretty nice course. Wide open fairways, some bunkers, a little bit of water. Play it from the tips, and it is a challenging course. I thought the turf was in excellent condition. Greens were in pretty good shape as well. All in all, a great value.
Not why I was expecting
Golf course was ok. I had high expectations. They were not met. Staff was rude. Greens were ok. Fairway was ok. Just not happy.
This is a fun course to play
While the Adobe course is older and doesn't have the typical mountain and desert features that some of the Scottsdale courses have it is challenging and in great condition. The greens were very good and the pace of play was good. The homes surrounding it are spectacular and you do have lookout mountain and Camelback as backdrops on several holes. After golf the Adobe cafe has a beatific outdoor patio and very good food. Overall, a great day in Phoenix
Biltmore
Been in Arizona for 2weeks playing golf
This course in the only course we playing the had grass on the fairway n greens
We play a lot of the top courses in Arizona
Done of them have grass in fairway
Every course we played r hard a rock was amazing
If your going to Arizona now do not play the top courses there in bad shape
Disappointing
I have played this course several times in the past and found it interesting and well-maintained with good service by both the pro shop and the cart attendants. However, something seems to have changed in the management philosophy. During this round there was no evidence of any effort by marshals or pro shop to do anything to manage pace of play or behavior on the course other than send foursomes off the first tee as quickly as possible. It took over five hours to complete our round of golf behind a foursome so slow that our foursome had a long wait on every shot. This foursome drove their carts inside the markers directing carts to the cart path, drove them up above the greenside bunkers and, in on at least one occasion, actually drove a cart across a green. No marshal was in evidence to try to protect the greens and approach areas. This group refused to improve their pace of play despite their apparent recognition that they were holding up the groups behind them and despite open holes ahead of them. At one point, we flagged down a course marshal and asked him to help speed up play, but he said he was only on the course to pick up markers for a closest to the pin contest in a corporate event earlier in the day. At the end of our round the golf cart attendants apologized for the slow play and urged us to complain to the pro shop staff. Our complaints in the pro shop were met with "we're sorry but there are a lot of players on the course". We later overheard the golf shop attendant assuring the group which had been ahead of us that their pace of play had been fine. Unbelievable! Also, a warning for those who have not played this course before: There is little separation on many holes between the line of approach to the green and the tee box for the next hole. This leaves players at risk of being struck by errant shots by the players behind them. I will not play either of the Arizona Biltmore courses again.
Great Staff and Facilities!!!
Course in great shape!! Staff very accommodating, wonderful facilities. Played between two members that were not friendly and somewhat rude which lessened or experience!! May not return based on snooty members!!! Lots of other nice courses in area with much friendlier members!!! Again, staff and facilities were wonderful!!!
Gorgeous day and REALLY friendly staff
The staff was very nice and the course was in good shape, but overall pretty vanilla. However, I played with my wife, who is a beginner, so it was perfect for her.
Very wealthy view.
The course was in great condition. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Nice open course to play.
Pricey
Course was in excellent condition, but the price for a non Az resident makes it too pricey. If you can get a deal it's worth it
Excellent traditional course,
My husband and I played this on a whim. Loved the traditional course layout. Greens were in excellent shape. The two residents were so nice and helpful with course layout. So glad we did not miss thus gem during our weeklong stay in Scottsdale!
Great old historic course!
First time playing this great, old historic course from early Arizona. Biltmore Hotel is old Frank Lloyd Wright design, which is apparent to anyone familiar with Wright architecture. Golf course is contemporary design and makes the most of tight use of land to be devoted to the golf course. Had a very pleasant experience on a beautiful, sunny mid-February day, which may have caused me some distraction from the task at hand. Score was average for my handicap and could have been better had I paid more attention to putting. Would gladly play the course again!
If slow play the front nine of the other course at the turn
Good fair course, well maintained, greens were a bit slow on the day we played ,most of the time they play faster, often the afternoon price is better than the city courses
AZ Biltmore - Adobe Course
Got a great deal on a "special" rate. Was able to finish 18 holes (just barely) starting at 1:45. Course was in very good shape. Not overly difficult but plenty to handle for a 20+ handicapper. All staff were very friendly. Bonus views of multimillion dollar mansions bordering the course. Little separation between holes so lots of "fore" yells heard and uttered. Would definitely play here again if the price is right.
Great greens, 3-hour round
Perhaps it was the 8:15am mid-week tee time, but I played alone for 18 holes in 3 hours seeing (and passing) only one foursome the whole time. Course is not boring, though relatively short. Greens were in great shape and very true. Could have used GPS on the cart or yardage markers.
