About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Great course but needs a couple weeks
I’ve played here many times but wasn’t aware they just punched the greens. I would give it some time. Not worth $100 a round.
Ambiente is usually in decent shape. Greens are burnt up on the edges. Fairways are spotty at best. Lowering the price to justify the short comings.
As indicated in other reviews finishing holes are a little rough. Clubhouse, restaurant,golf shop,and snack bar all very nice. Course condition and layout nice. Not too much scenery. Was happy to play here but it wouldn't be at the top of my list to replay
Expensive, course could be in better shape for the price they charge.
This course is not cheap. Some of the greens need work and the condition is not reflected in the green fees.

Worst value ever. I was excited to play here as I’ve heard good things, but the greens were absolutely garbage. There was no warning when we booked that the course was in such poor shape. Totally unacceptable @ $600+ for two players.
The greens were terrible, I was disappointed and honestly shocked that this course was in this condition and that they chose to still charge players as if it were in pristine condition. I understood from some members that this was an experiment gone bad and responsible parties no longer work there but I still overpaid for this lesson
Control Your Tee Ball!
Great facility. Friendly staff. Gotta' control your tee ball.
A couple greens had some disease damage, and the bunkers were a little thin, but overall a fun play and an excellent experience!
Overpriced
Greens are in terrible shape. 15th green has been completely lost. Played here 2 years ago, it was pristine. Not sure what’s happened. Lots of grass areas around the greens in terrible shape. Fairways and tee boxes are nice. But, conditions of the greens are what standout. $195 way too much to be charging right now. Practice facility is nice , restaurant food was good, staff was super friendly
