TPC Scottsdale - The Stadium Course

Probably the best course I've ever played. Incredible shape, greens were very close to when they had the tournament. We had a great caddie, everything was just an incredible experience.

Did not disappoint, scratched off the bucket list!

We went to the course to experience the stadiums that are in place this time of year. That in itself is worth the expense one time. However, this was my 3rd. time to do this, so other factors came into play. The forecaddie system is mandatory, and personally I don't enjoy it. There is a lot of talking with the caddie trying to engage with all 4 members of the foursome and it did not help the pace of play. Our round was about 4.5 hrs.

Our trip to TPC Scottsdale might be one of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve played. The entire day was a great experience. I’ve watched the tournament on TV so many times but actually playing it was even more fun than I thought it would be.

The practice facility might be the nicest I’ve ever seen. With an afternoon time, we were sent off No. 10 to start, I think to make sure we got to play the closing stretches of holes that are so well known. We stopped to see the “Tiger” plaque in the desert left on 13 and that was cool to see. As a hacker, it was amazing to par holes 15-17! My tee shot on 16 probably would have been booed as I JUST missed the green. My ball was a few inches onto the collar but I two-putted for a 3. No. 18 is a monster and the tee shot for the pros from the back tees looks terrifying.

After the high of playing the famous inward nine, the front nine was just OK. I was surprised there were so many houses close to the cart paths on the first couple holes. The green complex on 3 with all the tiers was extremely difficult to putt. The par 3s on 4 and 7 are challenging but the last two holes weren’t that interesting to us as we were rushing to finish before it got dark.

No doubt that it is a REALLY costly round but needs to be experienced at least once. I’m glad I played it and can check it off my bucket list. Not so sure I’d want to play it again, mostly due to the price, but would happily do so at a cheaper rate. Can’t wait to watch the WMPO!

Simply a great course in exquisite condition. Made it to the famous 16 before the sunset but then got dark very quickly. Pace was slow at times but I’ve had worse. Pricey but worth it. Hope to make it back one day.

Good experience at a challenging course. It was nice to have the caddy for course knowledge and to keep the pace of play up. We completed 18 in about 4:15. Felt like a gladiator on 16 with the pavilion already up, lucky the workers didn’t boo me when I missed the green to the left! Will definitely play there again.

Beautiful course and and opportunity to play in PGA conditions. Great experience and always beneficial to have a fore caddie.

Absolutely a fantastic experience. From start to finish it was even more than I had hoped. Fantastic playing condition and greens rolled smooth. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to check a bucket list course off!

It was an atypical hot September. However, that didn't stop my from having a great time and a great round. Everything was immaculate from tee to green. Greens were moderate in pace with nothing too crazy,
