McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.

Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.

A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Horrible pace of play created by staff

Left after 9 holes took 3 hours. Was held up by staff because their lists weren't up to date. Starter Bob was rude. Make sure you have cash because they don't like cards on the course and have to write up the transaction. Everything is old and antiquated and slow.

Best greens anywhere

Played the Palms course. Don't agree with negative reviews. Staff busy, but friendly and helpful, course in great condition w a few problem spots, dormant rough very thin in most place, a couple of holes w ducks and geese, same as other courses w/ water. Greens very fast and lots of break, but putted true.

will be back to play Pines course.

great course, sad conditions

Course conditioning was pretty bad. Can't believe they don't put more attention to details. For that much money to play, you'd think you're going to experience a higher end course. Might as well play a dried up muni for that price. Range was a dump, bunkers hard as concrete. Been playing there for many years and gets progressively worse each year. Sad.

Nice layout but..

Over priced for the conditions. Range was so crowded we didn't get a chance to warm up before we tee'ed off. Pace of play was fine at 4 hours, tees were rock hard, fairways were decent, bunkers were not raked but we're still playable, greens were good with the exception of many many unrepaired ball marks. Overall I'd give it C+

Not bad but could (should) be better…

I’ve played this course many times. I do prefer the Palm over the Pine. Great practice facilities but the driving range is bad for the price of greens fees. Chewed up, chopped up without any care to keep it fresh. Sometimes they make you hit off the mats which are in horrible shape.

Course is in ok shape but some fairways have dirt patches. No one fills in divots in fairways, no one repairs ball marks on the greens. The greens are fast and have lots of slope. Some pins can be downright unfair (on the side of a slope).

I just think this course could be so nice but they put nothing back into. They know they have a captive market based on location. But you can play very well maintained courses like those at Whirlwind that are 30 minutes away at the same price or less.

Nicely maintained course good value

Our foursome aged on our birthday for first time. We got lost a couple times because there are no markers to identify holes so you must use the GPS to figure out your location. One annoying thing was the golf Marshall asking us to skip a hole because we were behind at the turn we ignored him because we caught to next group easily. On my birthday after spending $600 on golf with no course markers is not the best customer service.
