Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club

We played The Palm course. It was quite nice, and the landscaping was just spectacular. The play was typical for a public course in high season. I think I fixed about 100 divots and ball marks on greens from other players, but otherwise course shape is good. Staff was courteous and congenial, and pace of play was fantastic at exactly 4 hours!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. The track was beautiful and we played with a couple of club members who couldn’t have nicer. Overall great afternoon.

Course conditions were average. Too many shots , despite GPS, that were difficult to assess where to aim. Driving range mats were awful.

The pace of play allowed us to get nine holes played before dark. $100 for nine holes. There was no sign of a Ranger and the staff really didn’t give a hoot.

If this was a premium course, rather than a cow pasture I’d give them slack. It clearly is not.

I would not recommend this course to anyone.

There are far better options at this price point. The course is in fair condition. Holes are very narrow and pretty easy to get hit by other golfers on several holes, Some greens don’t even have proper grass all around them just burnt yellow grass. Greens that have water around them are sloping heavily in that direction. Practice facility is sub par with really old mats. Pro-shop staff was unfriendly. Oh and if you want to play in your own cart the will slap you with a full $30 spectator cart fee even though the green fee includes a cart fee. Not playing here again.

Liked the course layout Overall condition was good, but greens were inundated with unrepaired ball marks. Speed of play was a little slow, but tolerable (a bit over 4.5 hours). But all in all, would consider playing again.
