McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.
Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.
A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Great $50 course unfortabkey it was $140
Embarrassing. The course was in poor conditions. The bunkers were essentially unplayable standing water, mud and grass/weeds growing into them. They are closing the course Monday for over seeding but never mentioned this when booking. Pretty embarrassing they charged $140. Never again

started with no food or coffee for 8 am tee time
bathrooms had no water, only port-a potties.. picked wrong day to skip breakfast.
Course layout was fun, weather was perfect, but the sandtraps are severely overgrown around the edges. literally grass growing 2-3 feet down into the bunkers, made it impossible to locate a ball hit in the bunker. lots of water on the other side of fairway made you aim more at those bunkers.
Overpriced muni
The layout is nice but the condition of the course was just so so. For the price I paid I would expect more...I know it is season here in Scottsdale but that is crazy....I came from socal and I wouldn't pay that much for that course back in socal
In need of help
Although we did enjoy our round of golf my group thought this golf course was really in need of maintenance. The sand traps looked as though they hadn't been tended to in a very long time. There was grass growing down in all of the sand traps which looked like it had not been attended to for a very long time. The area is beautiful and so many nice houses on the course well taken car of. Everyone that greeted us was so friends, Just disappointed in the condition of the course.
Could be better
Tee boxes and first cut were high enough to lose your ball. Entire course needed mowing. Layout was enjoyable. Greens were true, but with many bald spots. Range balls were scattered across the course. Disappointing for the money.
Crazy slow
We left after ten holes and over three hours of play.
Rough overgrown, almost impossible to find a ball.
WAY too hung up on pace of play. Five minutes behind pace (not bad considering poor condition of rough) and they sent someone out to hassle our group four holes from the finish. No one behind us was waiting on us. I suspect everyone was looking for their balls.
