Legend Trail Golf Club

This was my first time playing here. I was placed with a group that decide to play from the tips. Normally, I don't play from the tips especially on the first round. I like to get a feel for the course and the layout before I try to stretch myself. That said, this track is not an easy course. There are several holes with a forced carry. There are multiple blind shots to landing areas. There are a few sloped fairways running into the desert or there is a creek running across the fairway which would have been nice to know before hand. The greens were in good shape, but ran slow. The greens had quite a few slopes and/or level changes. Some people call that character. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape overall. The pace of play was reasonable. We were a group of four following a group of four. I think we finished in 4 1/4 hours. (not great, not terrible)

The only negatives would be that the holes were a bit furry and hadn't been cut in quite awhile and the range was chewed up pretty bad. Our cart was a bit slow and going up hills was laborious. The cart lasted the entire round so there was no problem. I will probably try this course again now that I have a better idea where the trouble is instead of driving blind.

the course is in very good condition and somewhat challenging. pace of play was ok.

course is great but the pros suck ,marshal needs to do his job every hole on the green the cup was reamed out.two weeks in a row.these big mucky mucks in Scottsdale do not have golf etiquette!!!!!!

Legend Trail is one of the best-kept golf secrets in the Valley. It is definitely worth the drive to far North East Scottsdale to play it. Warning: not for beginners. This course is one of the best courses in Metro Phoenix.

Course in good shape for summer play. Staff friendly and helpful. Always a little cooler out there in summer time and a pleasure to play. Look forward to playing the course again.

I enjoyed the course. outside staff was great... inside pro shop not so much. liked the greens. bunkers were good too.

Loved this course. One of the best layouts we played in a week of golf in Scottsdale. Played it with my wife and a young man who shared our tee time on a really hot day with few others on the course. It is a true desert course with many challenging holes and elevation changes, especially on the back nine. The fairways are wide enough to avoid calling it a "target golf" course, but club selection is critical on many holes. The back nine is very challenging with many longer carries over waste areas. I found the course very playable. The greens are very large and undulating. I would not recommend this course for a high handicapper. If you hit 'em straight and can keep the ball in play, you will have a wonderful and memorable round at Legend Trail.

I hit a ton of range balls and played a great course for $25. A couple of tricky holes, but very fun course. Greens were fast. Cart girl was awesome.

Surrounded by many of North Scottsdale's best country clubs, Legend Trail offers a great challenge at a very affordable price making it one of the best values in the area. Plenty of tee box choices to match your level of play, Legend Trail has something for everyone.

We love the layout and the variety of tee boxes that fit any player. Wonderful desert golf experience.

Played this course once before on a very windy day and it made me want to quit golf all together. Played again on a beautiful day and had the time of my life. As long as you play it smart and keep your driver in the bag most of the time the course is rewarding. Take what the hole gives you and you can score well, I can't stress that enough.

Need to provide GPS or course map. Too many blind shots to have no info provided by course. One of the marshals told us to expect water every other hole. What?!?

This course was fun to play! Difficult at times due to the narrow fairways and very troubling 'rough' if you aren't straight with your tee shots. Makes it difficult, but the relatively shorter distance is the trade off. Very scenic. Would recommend playing early/mid morning to avoid the heat.
