Quail Run Executive Golf Course
About
Quail Run Executive Golf Course has two sets of teeboxes for more golfing options. The course's layout features relatively wide fairways and medium-sized, mildly undulating greens. All of the greens are well protected all around by sand bunkers. The tees and greens are all elevated as well for more challenge. Although the course is mostly flat there are some slight elevation changes on the course. There is also a water hazard, a lake, which comes into play on one hole. The Quail Run Executive Golf Course facility offers different practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Great Experience
First time playing here. Same nine twice, but different sets of tee locations per 9 give each hole a different look the second time through. Check in was VERY pleasant (think his name was Chris). Course conditions were very nice. A par 5 (and two 4's) on an executive course were a nice surprise, allowing a great risk vs. reward scenario on some holes.. Greens a tad slow and nearly all slope back to front
Only reason that I didn't rate the course a 5 star: no driving range and an overly eager ranger who didn't seem to care whether you were mid-swing or not, just kept on driving with his bright orange flags. Several times he drove right up while setting up for an approach shot, got out of his cart with a bottle of seed in hand, waiting for us to finish our swing. After creating a divot, he scurries over to fill in with the mix before we even put the club back in the bag. The kicker was when he asked us to use the cart path only on a couple of holes so WE wouldn't cause any more ruts through the soggy spots on the on the course. Which normally would make perfect sense had our foursome not been WALKING the course with pull carts. Last time I checked, those were pretty non intrusive and considering he drove straight through the soggy spots on the way to scolding us....but who am I to judge?
Lack of driving range and the over zealous ranger were not enough to keep me from recommending or returning however. We laughed off Ranger Rick and will warm up at a driving range nearby next time.
...FAST greens!!!
What this course lacks in length, sure makes up the difficulty with tight lies around the greens making it difficult to chip/pitch and be able to keep it on the green!! Fastest greens that I have played this year and with plenty of breaks and slope to keep your putter in play!! Course overall is very fun and challenging to play! Love the 2 different sets of tees for the front/back nine as it is only a 9 hole course...but still very cool!
Rediscovered An Old Friend
Played many years before and decided to try it again. Course is pretty much as I remembered it. Old and well developed, nice combination of short, medium and long holes. Played it twice and used the other tees on the back 9. Quick and fun good for walking. Well maintained. Won't wait for years to play again.
Great value at Quail Run
Quail Run plays as an 18 hole course, but it's really only 9 holes with different T-boxes, giving you a different look at the same holes on the back nine. This can also cause some traffic jams if you get caught in the mix of people playing the front and back at the same time. We got into such a jam, but that meant that the back took 2 hours--still not a bad pace. It's a typical executive par-31 course except that it has a par-five hole and two par 4s (on each 9, of course:). We were able to get a cart that we need because of bad backs, but they have only about six carts. I will play here again at the right price.
Nice little 9-hole course
This was my first time walking 18 holes, and it was a lot of fun. I used the "Hot Deal" from Golf Now, which is for 18 holes. You play from different tees each time around, which adds a little variety. It looks like they filled in a lot of the old bunkers, so it seemed fairly easy. Not many 9-hole courses have a par-5, but this one does.
Fun Course
This is a fun little course to play. Great for working on your irons. They were redoing some of the bunkers which will be a good upgrade. I always like playing Quail Run.
Fun executive course
This was a lot of fun to practice my golf using a 9 hole course with 18 different tee boxes. Good place to enjoy the day walking and golfing.
Beautiful day for golf
Great place to play, when you haven't played in a while. Greens are tough enough, where you are challenged to read them well.
Fun course
It is a fun course - golfed it for around 20 bucks with a cart. Its 9 holes that you play twice from two different tee boxes. water comes into play once. Lots of par 3's and one par 5. Super nice staff.
Fun experience
I went to Quail Run with low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. The holes are fairly challenging. Conditions were great. Played 18 holes in about 3 hours. If you're looking to fine tune your iron play I recommend going to this course. All and all a fun round.
A surprising value and great fun!
My son and I have played a number of courses in Phoenix. We don't have the luxury of playing on a regular basis, but thoroughly enjoy the sport on occasion. This course was just right for a father and son who play for the joy of being together in a beautiful setting. And, the price was right!
Pleasant Round of Golf
Well maintained and relatively short. Usually not over crowded. An easy walking course. An enjoyable place to play!
Great Value For an Executive Tract
Course was in very good condition and greens were rolling smoothly. Layout is very good for using wide variety of clubs as it has one par 5, 3 par 4s and 5 par 3s. Multiple tee boxes give feel of 18 different holes as you play the nine twice. Easy to walk 18 holes and no problem getting around in a little over 3 hours. I golf their often as tune up for 18 hole regulation courses.
Beautifully maintained, lots of room, lush greens and fairways.
Played only 9 holes, but will be back with friends. Only complaint, the greens were slow. Lots of ball marks on the greens where the customers did not repair them.
Day
Anice day to enjoy this executive course. Will really be great in about 2 weeks. Over seeding is finished and they mowed for the first time. Looking forward to playing this one again.
First day open after overseed
Other than shaggy greens (to be expected) what a fun 9 hole track. Great place for a walk with a par 5 and a few par 4's. Great place for a quick 9 or do the replay with different tees for 18.
Great staff and well maintained course
We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Bill. He answered all of our novice questions and took his time with us. We've played other courses where staff is impatient, not the case here. The course was in very good condition, very well maintained. We will be playing here again soon.
Very good course, many looks.
The first time we played this course we got caught in a rain storm. But we loved the course and went back 4 times. The course has a little bit of everything, 1 par 5, 2par 4s, long and short 3s. The people are super and extremely accommodating.
All the regulars are very nice and did not push if we were having a struggle on a hole.
I recommend this course to anyone who wants a pleasant walk and play.
