About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Great Eagle
Not quite back from overseeding. Tee fairways ok Greens bit slow. Still the same the rest of it.
Overall pretty good
Timely tee off and very fast pace of play. Just a little over 3 hours. Tee boxes and fairways in good condition.
Greens a little inconsistent but generally OK. Cart path only not an issue. However, the paths are very rough.
Extremely bad if one has back issues. Good value for the price.
Conditions better
Reseeding is complete and the course is much better than the hot summer months.
Last minute
We booked this last minute and truly enjoyed the course the staff and the grill
Thristy
No beverage cart on the course! They have some beverages and small snacks for purchase at the clubhouse but NO ice chest / cooler on the carts. Come prepared!
Ugh
I purchased the hot deal, but even that wasn’t worth it. No one told us that the drinking water containers were not filled and I really needed more water. No cart person either. Terrible experience and the couple we played with were not ready to play at each hole. Ugh.
Waste of money
Not worth it. The entire course had dead grass! The greens were hard and bouncy. Pro shop closed at 10am. Upon arrival, my cap was stolen. I'll never.
Poor condition
Poor condition, due to poor preparation for over seeding
Price should’ve been discounted. There were no 150 yard markers out.
Quirky Course
Played it once before a few years ago. It hasn't changed since then. Could be a good layout if it was in better shape. Worth about the $30 I paid.
Don’t believe the hype
The course was in terrible shape. Fairways were yellow, rough was so high that all four players had to search for any balls that were hit in it. The greens were probably the worst I’ve played in my 20 years living in Arizona.
On the plus side, the driving range had grass!

They had a tournament going on. Was not told.
Fairways are dirt and mud
Greens are very patchy
Pace was terrible and marshal was no help.
Better options
Not the best course in the world. Since moving to AZ I’ve played courses in better shape for less than what I spent. A few holes had nice areas of grass but much of it and most greens had bald spots. Probably won’t be going back.
Look elsewhere
Course was in horrible condition. Staff, very unfriendly and looked like it was a chore that they had to even work there. Price was cheap, but even at that price, not worth it. Pretty much wasted away 4 hours of the day.
This course was unexceptable to even be playing golf . Tha fairways were mud and very little grass. The greens were ok but as far as golf conditions it needs alot of work. I will not play again
