Great Eagle Golf Club

The 1st tee marshal was rude and not friendly to my wife. We were 7 min in on the first hole our second shot and he drove out to my wife to monitor our play speed. The 1st tee says 15 min??? Wow we finished right at 15 min no need to drive out and coach my wife. So first time and last time. I did give a low score on staff based on that the club house staff was very friendly

Pretty good course, a little rough but with our weather it was understandable. Awesome staff!!!

Course is in descent shape, bunkers are in need of work ,but that is not going to happen. Overall very playable.

The front 9 was a little rough, but the back was great and felt like you were playing on a golf course.

Course layout is ok. Rained the night before and morning of our tee time. We rented a golf cart with cart path only, resulting in very slow play. To make matters worse there are only a few section where cart path is paved, with the rest of the path packed dirt or gravel. Very rough and hard on golf carts. Golf carts definitely need to be replaced. They are in very poor condition, hence people bring there own, if they can.. Better off walking since course is walkable. Back 9 definitely in better condition especially along and side of fairways. Front 9 has a lot of weed filled bunkers with some grass that appear to be bombed craters. Last but not least the sand traps need work as it is mostly hard sand with sizable rocks. Grass driving range is ok but no targets to gauge distances. Not very aesthetic, mostly dirt. Clubhouse is not a big deal since we came to golf.

Final words: Course has a good layout and staff were friendly. . Just need to invest some money and TLC to bring the aesthesis up to par to make it feel your getting value for the money.

Greens may need some reseeding and should be rolled for some smoothness.

So I decided to leave work early so I could play golf with my son.(yes I booked a tee time in advance) We figured if we played late in the day we could get in 18 holes before dark and it wouldn’t be crowded. Well, they started us on the back nine, no big deal. Problem number 1. They said they had cart service available. I didn’t see the cart girl the whole round! Problem 2. There is always a ranger or Marshall to keep the pace of play. Didn’t see ANYONE! But yet if I’m a half a hole behind I get told about it over and over. Problem 3. The four guys in front of my son and I must have thought they were on the PGA tour checking their putts from every angle and taking way too long to do it. Again, it seems if I take more than 30 seconds per shot I am harassed by the ranger for not keeping pace. Either put people out on the course, sell the place, or get rid of the 80 something’s that are running it!! I love this course and the people are nice but do your job!!

Fun. Challenging course. Not easy to put the ball on the hard greens with all those grass bunkers around. The greens need help. some too bumpy. Good for the price. I am coming back.
