About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Worst course this year
Conditions are awful, over booked, slow, only played 13 holes and left couldn’t handle it any more.
Save your money
Cheap golf/cheap course
The layout is alright, the price is good and the greens have some difficulty, but are craters around the entire course. Sand traps are dirt and rocks and none of them were groomed after being played. Only one hole had green grass for both the fairway and rough. The carts had no sand/seed to replenish divots. Divots are everywhere on the course. Even the cart path was rough to drive on. Potholes everywhere just like their parking lot at the clubhouse.
Review
No yardage markers anywhere on the course. Bring your range finder if your going to play it. Looked like the sand traps had not been raked in several days. The greens were descent enough but on the slow side. On the plus side, staff were very friendly and welcoming., and the price was right for the Phoenix area.

Der Platz ist in keinem guten Zustand. Die Fairways. Waren ok und die Grüns auf den ersten 9 auch. Banken waren wie Beton
Better times to be had
Greens are ugly, false fronts and very hard at the best time of year. Play thirty years ago was much better. Good things just don’t last.
Happy trails to me
Same old course... Shape is typical historically. Miss the days of bent grass greens but, oh well. Typical NASA staff... boggled by the complexity of sending people out in order and adhering to rules with zero ability to think outside the box. I guess it's from their days of working at McDonald's where you can only give 2 packs of ketchup per customer. 2 people per cart I assume is to preserve these Korean war surplus carts to get every cents worth out of them.

Fun course
The staff is always very nice and eager to help. The course has a fun layout, but unfortunately it isn't in very good shape
Not a bad course, just not worth $66.
I understand that they are trying to get the course back to a good place but c'mon, $66.00? The fairways were alright, the greens were more like dark browns and fast as heck, and the bunkers were like concrete. They need an infusion in cash to get it nice again but me and my golf-mates agree that we will not be donating to the cause for some time.
