Great Eagle Golf Club

Went following several days of rain. Cart path only, but the fairway was surprisingly good and not a wet, muddy mess. Other than standing water off the fairways in normally dry areas, you wouldn’t even know it’d been raining.

Nice course, some fun holes. A couple tough holes.

Starter was a jerk. Greens were Ok, fairways were in poor condition. Course layout/design was weird. Far too many poorly located mounds and moguls.

#10, Real nice signature hole right along Bell Rd for all to see giving one the impression this is a place to play - wrong. This is in my bottom ten of all the courses I’ve played in 55 plus years.

Played just before Christmas and was very impressed with improvements to the course. The Fairways and Greens were in great shape and the greens rolled fast and true. The Tee boxes and sand traps still need some work but you can tell things are headed in the right direction. Keep up the good work and I look forward to playing here again.

The greens are fairly good. Fairways are fairly good. The areas off fairway are not maintained. I have to say though, that the course design is really good. There is one hole where it is a completely blind drive, so didn't like that. But the mounding, routing, bunkers and overall design is very good. The conditioning could stand improvement. But considering what they charge, it was a very fair deal to play there. Would play there again.

Sad how this is going downhill wish they would fix it up a bit.

It’s been a year or two since I last played here. It wasn’t great then and has just continued to go down hill. Too bad because the layout is okay but the course conditions are trash. Was hard to find grass to hit off at the range and the range itself had not turf it’s just markers stuck in to the dirt. Kinda sad

After reading reviews was skeptical about playing here. I’m from Fla and visiting, the course was in nice shape. Greens need work, but it’s dry so understandable. For the price well worth the visit. Pro shop and cart guys very nice. Good layout and enjoyable course. Would play again when I visit again.

I have played this course many times, it's a fun average course that I will continue to play at.

...Now..being told I am late to my tee time at 10:20 when I walked up to the box at 10:15.. F that, thank you for rushing me, you should have just let the other 2 guys play on.

I really can’t say much good about what was once a great course. Price was right. In all fairness it is playing better than some years.

I like the layout of this course and its narrow landing zones and smaller greens. It's not that easy to score well if you're not a straight hitter. Good condition and great value.

Check in went very well and the gentleman in the pro shop was very helpful describing the course layout. He gave me my receipt to pick up my cart, which was included with my booking.

I was early, so I went to the practice area for approximately 10 minutes. I appreciate that the practice area has a nice bunker included to practice getting out of the sand!

Then it was time to head for the tee box and the starter appeared to be waving me forward towards a group of several golfers who had not been there ten minutes earlier. As soon as I arrived, the starter informed me that I would need to share a cart with the one person that he was sending me out with. I told him that I had been assigned a cart and had not been informed about any need to share a cart with another golfer. He informed me that those were the rules and if I didn't want to comply I needed to pay $15 extra. I told him that this was not disclosed any where, but I would pay the extra when I was done because I had no cash with me. The starter was very rude in my opinion and confrontational. Luckily, I kept my assigned cart and teamed up with a very nice gentleman that agreed the starter was out of line.

The fairways are nice and location markings are acceptable for getting from hole to hole. The greens, recently aerated, were a bit rough. The course has a lot of blind spots and rolling hills. It's not easy and I had one of the worst games I've had in years. Pace of play was also very slow from the 7th hole Nevertheless, any day on the golf course is a good day! I won't be returning though.
