About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Best round ever
The course was in great shape and I had the best round ever

Great day to play golf and course is in pretty good shape.
Rough and tumble
This is the 4 th time I have played this course. I still.have a problem playing it. The course us loaded with grass bunkers and sand traps. They also have numerous areas you cannot see that are flooded due to the irrigation system flooding the low lying areas.
It is hard to see trouble ahead because they are in low areas that you cannot see. This is not on just a couple of holes but on the entire course.
When you think you hit A good shot you go looking for your ball and it has rolled into into A 8 feet or so deep grass bunker with water in the bottom. This makes it a hard course to play.

I think I will give up on this course
Cut The Greens...PLEASE
Both the fairways and greens look like they haven’t been mowed in several days. Fairways furry so no roll on any drives. Greens shaggy and mostly unputtable....played “no three-putts” because of the horrid speed. Several of the holes, but not all, looked like they haven’t been moved in a while (rounded edges). There is no excuse for this at this time of year...the weather is mild. The course should easily be in decent shape.
Avoid at all costs
This course was in horrendous condition. The grass in the fairways needed cutting badly. I almost lost a ball that I hit in the middle of the fairway because the ball sunk down into the grass. On the fairway!!
The same with the greens. I’ve never played on greens that were so slow because of the length of the grass. And some greens had many bare patches.
The course conditions were so bad I quit after nine holes. It’s a shame because I saw a lot of potential in this course. Too bad it’s taken care of so poorly.

Service was not good ! Very slow at check in COULD not get a cart till 2 mins to tee time

There were a few greens that exhibited dead spots and there made putting more difficult.
Other than that, it was a great round that was cut short due to rain.
