Desert Springs Golf Club

My brother-in-law and I played this course the other day in 3 1/2 hours. The course was in nice shape and we really enjoyed the round. All other amenities were very reasonably priced. We will definitely book another tea time out here again.

This became my new favorite golf course. Lots of shade. Green fairways, rolling greens for a challenge, and tall rough like in Cali.

Ice available at club house and on the course. Never going back to those Scottsdale courses that are expensive, don't allow coolers so no ice, and have club cleaner guys that stalk you when you're done. I guess if I had the money, I'd like the service and readily give a tip.

But these Sun City golf courses are a great alternative.

wow bob and i were amazed first time playing there , for the cheap price we stole this course, great ondition beautiful blue water great bunkers, shook our heads all day, cant wait to go back, theres three other courses here and have played them many times but this one was the best, thank you.

I had a great time here at Desert Springs Golf Course. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The grass on the greens were nice but grass was a little long which made for very slow greens. I liked the layout, good mix of water, and bunkers. I would say for the golfer shooting from 85-par will have a great time playing here and feel good and confident at the end of the day. The one and only complaint was my tee time was 6:22, I walked in to pay at 6:10 and the starter walked in when I was just paying and said that a twosome had teed off already and was finishing on the green and wanted me to rush out tee off and join them and hole 2. I told him I was not teeing off for another 10 min and wanted to stretch and get a drink before I started, and I felt he was rushing me. He tells me hes trying to keep the pace of play moving. This got me a little mad but not going to let it ruin my day cause once I tee off Im happy and not thinking about staff. I did join a twosome a few minutes later and glade I did. This husband and wife couple I joined turned out to be super friendly and had a great time playing with them. We exchanged number and now have new person to play golf with on the weekend. So all is good. I will play here again for sure and looking forward to it. I shot a 82 cause greens were tuff cause so slow. Fun course and great layout with a good price. In spite of the 115 degree heat we had a grand time at this Grand course. Greens were in good shape, Staff friendly, pace of play was fast.

Always a great course. There are some unresolved course Summer maintenance issues but I am sure the capable folks at Sun City Grand will get it rapped up PDQ.

I played here last year, and it was in great shape this time of year. They have not kept the tee to green conditions up, with lots of bare and dry grass. The greens were pretty good, with some that were losing "green" on slopes. Still OK for the price.

Greens were rough and fairway was not in good shape.

The course was not up to par.
Greens were recently cut and sand was prevalent.
Fairways were air-rated and filled with holes and brown spots.
I was disappointed.... usually GolfNow designates when a course is undergoing work, but not in this instance.
I wonder about the condition of the other courses in Sun City Grand.

This is a well maintained course with some tricky trouble spots but fair enough to enjoy the game. Water fountains are cold and restrooms are clean. Signage and markers are clear and fairways wide enough for even a novice such as myself to keep it in play. Good experience overall

Good deal, nice people course is in good shape and a four hour round all of this equals a great day of golf

A wonderful example of a course designed for all ages and genders. Five tee boxes that give a very good advantage to the seniors (me) and women. Some interesting shots around the greens and plenty of water hazards.

Played in windy conditions, course was wide enough to allow for the gusts. Great lies in fairways but you have to play to the front if you want to hold a green.

Fairways nice. Greens difficult to predict - some fast and some slow.

The course was beautiful. The rough grass was smoother than my sun city courses fairways. Greens were well maintained and ran true. Staff were very very nice and gave me clear concise directions and information that was very helpful. Only knock I have for the experience was it played pretty slow making it hard to get into any flow. Did not see any marshalls on the course helping to speed up play. Would definitely like to play again.

Varied difficulty of fairways. pace of play made a good day of golf.

Great course with just enough challenges, and forgiveness. I played in "Pre-Overseed" period, so the fairways and greens were scalped prior to overseeding. The rough was short as well, which was a good thing!

The course is well maintained - greens were true - challanging - well worth the money!

Seems the more they try to fix the greens, the worse they get! The greens were in grood condition the previous time I played; about a month earlier
