Quality and playability
One of four golf courses in the Sun City Grand neighborhood, and you can always count on a great golf experience. Conditions are generally top-notch, and the courses offer a fair challenge balanced with playability for everyone. It seems they are prepping for overseed, so fairways and greens are a little firmer/faster than a week ago.
Local tip--combo tee boxes are available online. I don't understand why they aren't on the scorecards.
Solid Track & Layout
Enjoyed the course, green & fast; plenty of water on the course. Sand in traps was a little hard. Really enjoyed my round there. Fairways were nice and green, rough was nice and fluffy. Plan on playing the course again.
great shape
this is a fun layout and it definitely has its challenges especially from the back tees, which are listed at just over 7000. but for this time of year the course is really in terrific shape. def worth playing and will be back
greens
Greens the best of the sun city courses they will hold a shot and are very fast. love them !!!
Good course and cheap beer
Nice golf course and fairly good condition despite early prep for overseeding. Beer at 1.75 a can is awesome and a second good reason for returning.
Good course at a great price
End of summer so great price on GolfNow but two weeks before overseeding so starting to dry out.
First Time
The course was in very good shape. The greens held well but they were grainy and a little slow (I had played Corte Bella the day before and those greens had perfect speed). Faster greens would have made this a very nice experience. It was a nice layout with beautiful landscaping. This was my first time playing here, but because of the green speed and pace of play I don't know if I would play it again. It took 4 hrs and 40 minutes to play. Saw the ranger go by twice but he never stopped to see how we were doing.
Great Course, Great Place
Super course at a phenomenal price. I'll take advantage of this opportunity anytime offered.
Another good Sun City Grand course
Course in good shape from tee to green. Showing some signs of heat fatigue on the fairways. Played with another Golf Now advocate who was paired up with me. Pace was okay given the number of players on the course (quite busy for a Tuesday). Would recommend course to anyone venturing over to the Sun City area but get there before all the residents of Grand return when the availability will become limited and the cost will become expensive.
Good value this time of year
Fairways in some areas were very soft so your club would come through like a bunker.
besides that great value
Greens were the worst
I played as a single but was trying to hook up with a threesome , but they would not let me join or play through, but the greens were the slowest due to this time of the year. I could not get the ball to the hole. I went to a 8 iron for chipping.
Desert Springs
Pleasantly surprised by course conditions in late May, fairways and greens were fantastic. Front nine layout has much more character than back nine. Our foursome played in 3 hrs 45 min on a Saturday morning, very enjoyable.
Sun City Grand course
Played Desert Springs with a member of the community. Very nice individual by the way. Course in average shape from tee to green with a few interesting holes . Greens medium fast and smooth but do not look great in appearance. Pretty typical this time of year in the valley. Would recommend playing but one should find a Golf Now deal as most of year the course is overpriced. Maybe play again this summer when rates become more reasonable
Beautiful course!
First time playing here and was very impressed. The course was in amazing shape!! I will definitely be back again!
Had a great day. Wasn't aware that it was a shotgun start, but it turned out to be no problem. Played with 2 nice guys and had a very nice morning. Course was in great shape, could have used a bit more sand in the bunkers, but beyond that, no complaints. Would go back again, for sure, shotgun start and all!
