Arizona Traditions Golf Club

This time of year is difficult for most courses. Traditions which is great 9 months out of the year showed signs of the summer heat and lack of rain. Fairways were choppy and some greens were scarred. Hope it gets better for the fall season

My boys play this course once a week and decided to play a round after work today after 10 minute wait at the gate we arrive and the lady in the pro shop asks us are we here to golf. We say yes she says if you were here 15 minutes ago you could have golfed.

3pm in AZ we get turned away this is bad business for regulars and for one of the highschool golf team players who regular here.

Until they figure out a staff that knows how to run a tee sheet we will spend our time and money elsewhere.

Worst municipal golf course on the west side of the valley. Not enough space to talk about the conditions. From the tee boxes, fairways, greens , so called sand traps and even the rough. Have seen better cattle pasture land than this. Not worth a penny on the dollar for what they charge to play.

Superintendent or greens keeper has know idea on what to do or to be done . Unfortunately when comment are made they seem to fall upon deaf ears, which is very sad as this course could be a fantastic and beautiful executive course.

I golf this course about every other weekend an I have never had such rude service from the older gentleman who was running the pro shop yesterday 8/5. To tell a customer they are being dumb about something had me speechless.

Who do I talk to about getting my $ back? Let after 9 holes. All the greens have been lost, they were mostly without grass and were unplayable. Fellow at pro shop was miserable and was rude.

Very good day on the course. Very good layout with hills every where.

They should have let me know that half the course was closed

Front 9 was closed(wish I knew that, but not unusual this time of year)..Back 9 was not in great shape.I've played this course a lot and think it's a well managed,very nice course .

I played this course for the first time yesterday. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe what a terrific team of people I met there and the layout and condition of the course. The young lady that checked me in was delightful and extremely helpful. The gentleman that provided the golf cart and course manual was friendly and totally professional. Even the gate guard that allowed me in wish me a good round. I played alone and on several occasions was offered to play through. When I returned the cart, the gentleman that met me was an Air Force veteran friendly, respectful, and exceptional in all respects. I had a great time. Thank you to all that made it possible!!

Always in great condition and pace of play is usually very good as well. I really like this course.

Greens are in bad shape (fungus) especially hole #1. This was a surprise, this course always has been in good shape and a pleasure to play. Fix the greens please!

It really sucks when you book a tee time on GN and there is no warning that there is course maintenance or half the course is closed. There needs to be better policing here . Several other courses I looked at had disclaimers of aeration but not this one . Since we made the trip we decided to play . We were early so the pro shop said we could go straight to the tee . As my wife was teeing off a little old lady came up on me and asked why we were taken so long ?!?! I guess she made the turn for replay . I explained the tee was open my ball was in play and my wife was on the tee . Before I could let her tee off or join us she said she’d skip this hole and took off . Can it get any worse ?? The fairways were very patchy with dead areas . Greens were full of dead areas . Sand traps were mud pits and the course was soaked from watering . Playing as a twosome the pace of play was slow . We did get to join another twosome and played through a slower group on first 9 .( 1 1/2 hr )No luck on the second 9 ( over 2 hours waiting every shot ). I was told this course is going to have sand trap improvements soon so beware if you see a cheap rates . I assume this course is only going to be 9 hole replays for a while .

Back nine was closed. Would not have booked a tee time had I known. There should have been a notification posted so that players are aware and not surprised or disappointed.

Been playing this course for about 20 years

Always had a good experience

Today I drove 45 minutes to play

And found out that the back nine was closed down

Would not have driven 45 minutes when I could’ve played my home course

Knowing that I was gonna pay the front line twice

Fairways, tee boxes and greens all in very poor condition. Played here numerous times and have never seen it look so bad.
