Los Caballeros Golf Club
About
Rancho de Los Caballeros offers everything from horseback rides through the desert to hot stone massages at the spa. This historic dude ranch is also known as one of the state's most popular golfing destinations. Golf Digest ranked the Rancho de Los Caballeros golf course in the top five in Arizona and nationally, it's ranked in the top 100. The layout sprawls across rolling terrain and incorporates two large lakes into the design. The course climbs up 2,100 feet at its highest point providing stunning views of Vulture Peak to the south and the Bradshaw Mountains to the north. The par-4 13th is the signature hole. It features several changes in elevation and a small, undulating green that is also heavily guarded by bunkers. In addition to the course, the golf club at Rancho de Los Caballeros also has multiple driving ranges, practice putting greens, and there's also a short-game practice area.

nice course great views
took a while to drive to course but worth it...played for $55....4 hour round...great views
Course to play if on your way to Vegas
For: good layout, great views.
Against: Poor condition, greens were a mix some good some patchy which made the greens a bit 2 paced. The fairways were just ok but not has good as the higher tier in Scottsdale. We also had a problem with slow play, and only once we had a moan to the marshal did it get sorted, but to his credit he did sort it.
If you are in the area it's worth playing on deal, but there's better in the valley.
Not worth the drive
Course reminds you if a local municipal golf course, with much better pace of play. With that said, there is no reason to drive 50 miles from Phoenix to play what you could have at any course in Phoenix.
Great golf facility
We're going back. What a great track! What a great facility and staff. Wonderful day of golf.
sweat course
course is in great shape, not really a desert course, lots of room on the fairways, I prefer a little more targeted course, so I used the yucca tree that are on some of the fairways as focus points, many raised greens, check them out for slop before chipping on, they can roll off, nice experience, try it, if you can get a deal.
A hike, but, MAN!!!!
This course usually has a green fee of around $95, but a gap fell in the day and I got on for $55!!! The course is beautiful!!! Not the most challenging out there, but the scenery and the way the course winds through the mountains is what I think you pay for. Don't get me wrong, there are challenges.
I gave the "Food and Beverage" area a "Good" score, not because I ate..........Because the smell coming from the 19th was amazing! The staff was really nice. I talked to Ryan, an Alum from Golf Academy Myrtle Beach and Director of Instruction (I think) and since I am attending Golf Academy, I picked his brain and he took the time to answer my ?'s and then some!!
Great course, great staff, and a great round!!!
I like the course but...
Always had a nice time playing out in Wickenburg. It's a fun course and the back nine has some very challenging holes. It's almost a desert course, but open enough so you don't feel like you're playing target golf. Course is in reasonably good condition but for $100 I would expect to have beverage cart services on the course.
Nice views
Fun , would play again. Liked front nine the best.
Hidden gem
Los Caballeros is an excellent golf course with good scenery and challenging holes.
The greens were nice and fast and in great condition
I enjoyed this course very much and wish it was closer to where I live.
off the best in path...
Fun course to play.. In.good.shape.. I've.seen it.look.better!!!!
Uphill greens play longer
Spotty clumps of grass on many greens. Worse overseed I've seen in 25 years. Very wet. Hard to get to pin, cause of elevation. Such a great course, I would play it many more times.
Be prepared!!!
This course can and will humble low handicappers. You should develop the mindset that you are playing this course for the beautiful vistas and fresh air. If you go thinking you will have the best round in recent memory....prepare for the challenge, stay totally focused and hire a caddy to navigate you through and around the one hundred sand traps and undulating multi-tiered greens. And, if you further choose to complicate your experience, hit from the black tees so that you can wear out your utility clubs.
Great Day
Nice course. Fairways were cut short, so ball really rolled. The back nine is more difficult then the front.
Top notch.
Just a great experience as always. From the time you drop off your bag until you finish up its a great experience. Their customer service is unbeatable. Food is absolutely awesome, including fresh baked goods with whatever you order.
The course is in fantastic shape, lush green fairways, very fast and very true greens right now. One of my favorite course in the "Phoenix Area"', about a 45 minute drive from NW Peoria but well worth it.
NO WALKING ALLOWED for guests!
No attendant(s) at club drop off. Guests are not allowed to walk the easily walkable course. I HATE FINDING THIS OUT AT THE COURSE! POST THIS ON YOUR WEBSITE! Members apparently don't know how to repair ball marks and course staff doesn't have the time either. Despite the high number of ball marks, the greens were extremely firm and difficult to hold.
Great property for a course. Nice views. Nice range and chipping area. Tees & fairways are in good condition. Bunkers were very variable from hole to hole; some soft and sandy, but most were extremely firm and lacked loose sand - needed attention. Still trying to figure out how to play the par-5 ninth hole. Walking not allowed.... I won't be back.
Very nice track and worth the drive
I loved this course. We stayed in Chandler so it took an hour and a half to drive to it. It was worth the drive. A beautiful, well maintained course that is quiet and challenging out in the desert. Just an overall great experience and course. Definitely recommend this beauty.
A Classy Facility and Golf Course
Los Caballeros is a class facility as soon as you walk into the front door or the pro shop.
Restaurant offers great food from a warm and friendly staff and the pro shop is professional and personal as well.
Golf course in great condition, fair, but difficult which makes for a great round of golf.
One of my favorites in the area.
Real deal
Excellent golf course in every way, but too expensive for me in peak season without a hot deal.
A Disappointment
Tough course but disappointed in the conditions of the fairways and the greens. Has a nice practice facility and the sand traps were the best I have ever played. I will probably not play this again this year. At 4.5 it is overrated when compared to similar tracks in Phoenix. Worth playing once and visiting Wickenburg.
