Nice parkland course ruined in redo
A nice playable parkland course turned into an ugly denuded monstrosity devoid of any character in a misconceived redo. Absolutely no reason to play here again.
As a first time playing this course, a course map would have been very useful.
Great redo
Used to play the old Earl Fry course. The new layout is very good with challenging greens. Looking forward to playing the back nine!
I have played both the associated Alameda courses for decades
I have played both the old and new designs on both courses for decades. This was the first time on the redo of the North Nine. Fairways were dry with plenty of undulation. Greens were roller coasters but in outstanding condition. Initially, the routing and hole configurations were very familiar to pre-redo. New bunker faces were noticable.
I played midday from Gold's and finished +4.
Would probably play more if it was closer to home. Hope they finish the second nine, but, remain very doubtful that it will happen in my lifetime.
What a great course
My son and I live playing this course. Even though it’s 9 holes, it’s way better than all the 9 hole courses we have played.
Wow what a gem
My son and i only had time to play 9 holes so we played the North course. Can’t wait for them to finish the back 9!
Where is the dumb Marshall ?
Marshall should be on the course. Teed off at 3 and waited on every hole- Totally ridiculous. All the clown did was check my receipt on hole #1. Girl in office was rude and so was the sorry starter. Get the groups moving with warnings or quit now.
Twilight golf fun
I walked on at 5:30 to squeeze 9 holes in before dark. Having never played the north course before, I didn't know what to expect but what I found was a really lovely linksy course set-up with fast, rolling greens. It's a fair course, with plenty of scoring opportunities . Enjoyed my 9 hole round and will be back again!
great course, slow pace of play
I really like this course. This is the third time that I have played it. I like the challenge of the approach shots and the undulating greens. and the generous Fairways
Unfortunately, today playing nine holes took two hours and 45 minutes
Management, please figure out how to slot and players playing 18 holes with those playing nine holes
Mark Twain said at least for today for me golf was a good walk spoiled. A very slow walk
50 bucks seemed quite a bit to pay for this experience
John
Great conditions considering the rain we had earlier in the week
