Great Challenge & Well Maintained
I've been playing Laguna Seca for many years. They have done a great job particularly lately on having it look nice and green with some great sand traps.
Great morning of golf!
The course is in great shape! I shot a 91 and my handicap is 24 so I was quite pleased with the round! Mel, the starter is a perfect gentleman and the staff in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. We will be back!
Awesome layout
Enjoyed course very much. Third time playing it. Great greens, course very well maintained. Play moved along very nicely.
This course has great greens
Greens were in great shape. Enjoyed the pace of play - didn't have to wait once. Reasonably priced. Just challenging enough. One of the best values on the Peninsula.

Several holes are as challenging as you will find.

My son and I had a great time. Course was in great condition. Definitely play there again! Very challenging.
From Sacramento
I read previous reviews and did not expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. The course had lots of elevation changes, very scenic hills nearby, and holes that were attractively designed. Well worth paying a green fee of between $60-$85. Clubhouse staff person was not real friendly or helpful but that should not be a deterrent.
The course was in mediocre condition. The starter/cashier had a poor attitude and offered little in terms of customer service.
Quirky back 9
Affordable golf on the Monterey peninsula, some odd holes (a par 5 that you have to lay up on - with your tee shot??). It takes a little local knowledge on the back nine but the course is usually In good shape, good staff, and a good driving range (though practice bunker was concrete, unlike the bunkers on the course which are decent). Glad it's there, especially now that both Rancho Canada courses have been taken from us :(
Hidden gem in Monterey
This course belongs in any Monterey golf trip. The course itself was first rate the pro shop was first rate . The reason why I did not score a five star overall the Breakfast was awful. The pancakes were frozen and reheated. I just couldn't get over that fact.
Sunny Afternoon
Laguna Seca is a good value for the money. The course has an interesting mixture of holes and the staff was very friendly. The Par 5 15th is a great hole with two carries over water, and the course has a number of elevation changes throughout. The greens were in good shape, but the fairways were a bit dry. Good facility.
Very interesting track.
I do enjoy a RTJ design. Greens a bit slow, but rolled true. Course condition great. I'll be back!
