Laguna Seca golf
Great course and great value!
BBack
Grest conditions on a beautiful course. I drive here from forty miles away and can't wait to play it again.
Big Supprise!!
I wanted to get out for the evening on Friday with my wife as we were home all day so I decided to book a round and found one at Laguna Seca for 24 dollars, with a cart. Every thing was fine until I arrived at the golf course. The person behind the desk at the pro shop told me that if my wife rides with me it is an extra 13 dollars. This was real cheesy as my wife was not golfing and we were the second to last people going off at 424 pm. There were two guys behind us one walking and the other riding. My wife and I had to wait an inordinate time for each hole I was playing two balls as it was so slow that I could have been in a foresome and it would have still been faster. The people were nice on the course but the employees or management could have speeded things up so they would not have to be so greed as to charge my wife who was an observer an extra 13 bucks. This was the big surprise. I will not play there again unless someone pays my bill...
Challenging, scenic and in great condition
This is a fantastic golf course, and when I played it I was on seventh heaven with the nicely mowed fairways and the textures of the undulating greens which were true and slightly faster than expected. The course isn't long but it does have a number of very challenging holes. The par fives look easy, but be very careful as a single errant shot can result in a double bogie (or even more). The back nine is more difficult and there are a couple of long par fours. Elevated tee boxes make it fun to hit long and high drives. Finally, don't forget to visit the driving range which is very unique and scenic, although you have to climb a hill to get there (also a cart is available to make the climb easier for older folks). The salad bar is quite the treat.
Nice golf course and great staff at the pro shop
Everything was nice except for a few bumpy greens had brown patches on them.
Played 18 in four hours.
Good lay-out
The course is dried out and not kept up whatsoever. Go play Bayonet instead!
Interesting course
First time I played Laguna Seca, it's a fun interesting course, looking forward to playing there agin.
skip the front 9 and just go to the back 9 until they address the issues
so, call me spoiled with the central valley's golf offerings? the first 9 are in disrepair and need serious attention. I see that i am not the only one disappointed with the upkeep of the grounds. it was cheap, but i guess i got what i paid for. I would recommend any sacramento area golf course over this one in its current state. do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Good course lay out.
Enjoyed it again and they let us off early and finished less than 4 hours....... Great!
no title
Poor cart paths. 5 some with walkers, slow play. The greens are not well kept. The staff is very good.
fantastic weather and a great day of golf
This is our second time to play this course,no fog and weather was fantastic this time, pace of play awesome for a sunday with perfect weather(3hrs 45mins).Course was in great condition(Greens not perfect with a different kind of grass or weed interupting it)but still fast and true for the most part.Course variation makes it fun and interesting, hills elevated tees and rolling greens add to the challenge and fun of this course.Scenery around the course very breathtaking with some houses there just amazing. For the money one of the best bets in Monterey for a great day of golf!
This course has nice view and design. .
I like play at this course due to nice course design.
What happened to this course?
I play this course several times a month and it seems like overnight, this course took a dive. The course layout is great and depending who you deal with in the pro shop, the staff can be great. The restaurant seems to be closed every time I'm there and I've never seen the snack shack open. BYO I guess... The condition of the course is rapidly declining. They are letting the crab grass take over and most greens have some sort of cancer. almost all bunkers have evidence of someone not raking, of very poorly raking after their visit. The greens have changed dramatically. Once nice and smooth. Cared for excellently and very reliable. Now! What the heck happened? My guess is there is not enough money to staff a quality greens keeper and crew. And with the closing of the Rancho Canada west course, and the east course on Jan 1st, it's going to get a lot worse. There is no Marshal to keep the pace of play on schedule. Expect 4.5 hour rounds. Think about this for a second Laguna Seca Golf Ranch:
Fish stink from the head!
The bad part about this is, this course is close to home and I'm bummed they are letting this happen.
~Cheers
A Good Walk Not Spoiled
One of our favorite courses. Well maintained, not too crowded and challenging. Almost always comfortable weather. Very good clubhouse restaurant although service wait can be long.
Great course
Great course. Had a good time playing.
Laguna Golf
Laguna Golf course was fun to play. Had a great time. Course is in good shape. The pace was kind of slow. It is good for the price.
Best Course and Value in the Area
Very Accomadating staff Dave and Tom are very helpful. I could not get access to my clubs for a sched tee time. They allowed me to pay the same rate and meer my grp at the turn--Thanks. The course was in great shape, the pace of pay is just right but we all know that can chg on any day. The weather is always good here and a few degrees warmer than Monterey proper or PG. Enjoy ur round! As Arnold said:
"I'll be back!!!
Best bargain on the Monterey Peninsula
The course and staff are great. Excellent practice facility, and very good food in the restaurant. The green fees are a significant bargain.
Perfect for visitors.
Coming from Florida I expected a different experience, but this was great! I played with my grandson who is a beginner and had no problems on the course from any other golfers.
