The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course

I booked my tee time from Tee Off. It was deal time at 8:00am. When I check in the ProShop, they could not find my tee time. I showed the person in ProShop my confirmation email. Then, she game me the tee time for 8:10 am. When I check in the Starter, he did not get the updated my tee time. The Starter contacted with the ProShop, so we could tee off. I did not understand what happened This is not the first time they could not find my tee time. I booked deal time for Black Hose course one week ago. They could not find my tee time, either. They told me it was tee off problem. I do not know which side caused this problem.

My friends and I were looking to play somewhere in the Monterey area and glad we decided to play Bayonet. Its a truly challenging course that is well maintained and landscaped. We all had such a great time that we are already planning a future visit to the course. I would highly recommend this course for any golfer.

Bunkers need attention

When we arrived there were no carts available for 5-10 min

This was no problem until the starter gave us heck for arriving late. 😞

Played this course while visiting family at Fort Ord area. Got a great discounted rate thru Golf Now to include 18 holes, cart, and range balls. The fairways were nice able to have the ball setup for some good second shots into the green. Lots of trees, but not much under brush which made finding your ball on errant hits much easier to find. The course was getting fresh sand refills in all the bunkers making your bunker shots very hard to get out of, but nice to see the improvements. Will be back to play next time I'm in town.

Great deal thru GolfNow. Course was in great condition adding new sand to the bunkers makes a difficult bunker shot. Would play again next time I'm in the area.

The course was hilly with undulating greens, and lots of bunkers. Marine layer was in affect and should be expected. The greens were in great shape and pretty fast. We played as a twosome but pace of play was good. Great course.

The management continues to improve every aspect of both courses.

I love this course but not the new construction

We used a lot of (“whatThe” ) golfing language did you see how hard that put broke away from the cup!!! After getting there for the drop !

The course was in great shape and has challenging holes. We were four people playing best ball, so we moved with a quick pace, finishing in under four hours. Nonetheless, I found that the group behind us (and in turn the group behind them) put far too much pressure on those in front of them, taking away some of the pleasure in the game. A course marshall was conspicuously absent.

Beautiful Pebble Beach like course for a fraction ot their cost. Narrow fairways were challenging but doable and fun. We signed up for a tee time that showed 20 minute blocks. When we got there, there was a steady stream of player tee times every 10 minutes. We had a slowere group in front of us and a patient, but still waiting group behind us. I sqeezed in a quick bathroom break between 9 and 10 after the Starter told me that if I took a break, it would be an indefinite wait to fir me in and this was a Wednesday. Still a great time and I would definitely return.

Course undergoing grass replacement project and construction of new homes so it is currently pretty torn up.

Great course with difficult pin locations. The course looked great. The pace of play was lacking with a 3 some in front of me taking forever but other then that great place to play
