About
Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye-designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The recent renovation led by Beau Welling was completed in 2025 and was thoughtfully planned to protect the architectural feel of Pete Dye’s original creation.
At par 72, this 6,471-yard course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. With five tee options, the modernized layout was designed to meet the requirements of today’s game brought on by technological advancements in equipment, providing a high-quality and consistent playing experience.

Wonderful!!!
This is a very good course with some challenging holes. Wonderful conditions, but just a little to much rain on some holes, but hey, it is Hurricane season. Really enjoyed the pace of play and the staff was tremendous, both inside the clubhouse and on the course. Played it twice while on vacation, and both times they were able to move my tee times up so I was not playing in the heat of the day.
Will be back on our next trip to Amelia Island.

Great course
This is a great course and. not too tricked out for a resort course. The greens were a little slow but I think they had been punched and sanded a couple of weeks back. I would play it again but not for $130.

Nice Mix of holes
Great mix of tough, moderate and easy holes. Beautiful scenery and seeet golf carts! Driving range was a little disappointing but range balls included with fee so that was great. I’ve played a lot of nice courses and I would definitely play here again.

Nice course!
Pace of play was a little slow-but the course is fantastic. Not too long, yet very challenging with a lot of layups around sand and water. Enjoyable round!

Good challenge
The course is a good challenge from the gold tees. It is very tight and misses are definitely penalized. There are a few holes that are a bit tricked up but overall a good resort course. The conditions were not great but that was only because they had just finished the summer aeration and there has been a lot of rain recently. I will go back every time I'm visiting Amelia!

Terrible bang for $150.
Greens had been plugged a week ago and they were heavily top dressed. Had we been made aware we would have definitely played somewhere else.

Better hit it straight
Awesome course and views of the marsh. Was extremely hot when I played. It said no outside coolers or drinks but we had to have cooling towels it was so hot. Cart girl came as we were finishing number 9. Not sure what good that was. But we never saw her again. $135 is expensive round but we had golf now deal for $50, so it was excellent. I only put 3 stars due to the regular price. I would have thought $90 regular price would have been good. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition.

Excellent condition
Though cart path only due to heavy rains the night before the course was very playable. It is tight with the marshes. Paid $21 for hot dog, drink and candy bar..Bring your own snacks unless you do not mind the mark up.

Beauty and precision
I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Oak Marsh. The staff, including the clubhouse, starter, and course marshal, were all very friendly and helpful. The course was in amazing shape. Tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers were all in excellent condition. There were only a couple of small areas in a couple of fairways that were roped off and under repair. The standard of course condition, though, was evidently excellence as every section of the course was manicured and well cared for. The signature hole as well as a few others had breathtakingly picturesque views. The only criticism I have is that the cart paths were not always marked well, and navigating hole to tee on a few holes was confusing.
