About
Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye-designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The recent renovation led by Beau Welling was completed in 2025 and was thoughtfully planned to protect the architectural feel of Pete Dye’s original creation.
At par 72, this 6,471-yard course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. With five tee options, the modernized layout was designed to meet the requirements of today’s game brought on by technological advancements in equipment, providing a high-quality and consistent playing experience.

Always great to play this course.
Course was great shape for the season, from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Greens maybe a tad slow but look great. Challenging course and a great layout with great views of the marsh. Pace of play was great @ 3 1/2 hrs. and we weren’t even rushing. The staff has always been welcoming, friendly and professional.

Great resort course.
Have played a couple times recently. Took some out-of-town friends. They loved the course layout. A little more $$ to spend on a round of golf but conditions are great and just a fun course to play! Staff are always friendly.

Omni Oak March
This is a great course....I have golfed here for years and once the golf restaurant opens the food is great.....
T Box, Fairways and Greens are plush ..... greens have been putting SLOW and may need to be rolled. These greens are small so bring your A game or play shorter tees.

Nice, fun course... with teeth.
Great layout that meanders through woods and homes before heading out to the marsh for the final 3. The course was in excellent condition even after a heavy rain the night before. The only negative was the greens being slow, maybe to keep play moving.
We played with a member who could tell us where the hazards were and more importantly, how far. That helped because some are not visible. The last 3 holes are tough with forced carries over the marshland off the tee and into the greens. Pick the right tees or you'll have woods and hybrids into them.

Good bargain on golf now.
Course played long in very wet conditions.
Greens were slow for some reason.
Need new carts paths. Very poor conditions.
Golf layout a challenge for any golfer.

Great course
It is well worth the money you spend to come play here, rather it be from the course its self(played from the tips). The tee boxes give you some incredible views as well as a bit more shot strategic tee shots. Id highly recommend to any one that has looked this course up and not pulled the trigger due to "cost" its worth your money

Highly recommend.
Really nice course. Play from the correct tees, and you will have fun. The course was in great shape. The only mild negative was slow greens imo. But not everyone likes fast greens.

Nice course, solid conditions for the most part. Greens in good shape but a little fuzzy and slower than expected, probably rolling about an 8. Bunkers need some attention. Would play again but only on a hot deal, rack rate would not be worth it in my opinion.
