About
Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye-designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The recent renovation led by Beau Welling was completed in 2025 and was thoughtfully planned to protect the architectural feel of Pete Dye’s original creation.
At par 72, this 6,471-yard course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. With five tee options, the modernized layout was designed to meet the requirements of today’s game brought on by technological advancements in equipment, providing a high-quality and consistent playing experience.

Good Round
Greens were in good shape compared to other courses in the area, fairways also in decent condition. We had rain for part of the round a moments of back ups but overall Oak Marsh is a beautiful and challenging course.
I hope some day they open the Ocean Course back up!

Good potential
Course was in decent shape... greens are slow and grainy but roll ok... biggest complaint is lack of food/beverage. The only options you have are butterfinger candy bars and room temperature water/soda from the pro shop, no cart girl. Pace of play was good, Fairways/tee boxes good shape. Range balls are NOT included and cost extra. All things considered this was a $50 experience and not the $75 + range balls I paid.

Terrific course
First time playing Oak Marsh and I was not disappointed. The course layout is amazing with several marsh views. The course was flawless from the tees to the greens. Amazing deals to play here for under $50 is phenomenal.

Greens were really slow But we’re in great shape for being punched 2 weeks ago. Nice course just don’t think it was worth the money versus some of the other courses around in the area .

Bad greens
Greens were in bad condition. Pretty rough. Love the course in general

Wife is away we can play
Great course. No. 16 from the tips, magnificent... Nice place a must play.
Course has a lot of bunker, water to navigate. Postage stamp greens on short holes with elevation. Greens have a good amount of slopes.

Great shape
Great course, green a little grainy and slow but all greens consistent. Super fast pace well under 4 hrs. Great job to the staff, cant wait for everythig to open up— i get hungry.

Really Nice Course
For the time of year, it's the best course I've played recently. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens rolled well. Really like the layout. If you play from the correct tees, you can have a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back.

Great Course and tremendous value
Played during Pandemic. Course is in great shape. Pace of play was perfect. The bunkers are tough but that is due to pandemic and no rakes, not a complaint just a comment.

Beautiful course
Tee to green in wonderful shape. Greens are still recovering from aeration. Ball rolls true. Extremely slow. Can’t find a better course in area for the money. Will play again next week

Great to be back on the course
1st day the course was open in the last month....greens were a little sandy coming back from air ration but putted nicely. The ball set up in the fairway like it was on a tee......very nice time on the Marsh and the views were outstanding.
