South/North at Fernandina Beach Golf Club

Starter was very friendly and provided helpful information about course condition. Overall fairways were in good condition and greens excellent. Tee boxes could use attention...i.e. hard to find a level spot. Overall, very good experience.

North course greens a little slow but south course greens are very fast. North course is easier than south.

I have played this course every summer for the last three years. It has gotten a little better every year. They have new greens on the South course which were really nice. The North course greens were not bad, but not as nice as the South course. The west course was closed because they are re-doing those greens. Some of the tee boxes were a little bare. Overall, I was very pleased with the course and it is only getting better.

I drive all the way from Jax to play this course for the value and greens conditions. The weather usually has a nice breaze for these hot summer days with it being so close to the Ocean.

Greens in excellent shape. Fairway sparse in some areas, dry conditions though. Pace of play was a little slow but they have the west course shutdown for maintenance. No chipping or putting greens, also closed for maintenance. Water in the coolers had bad taste, bring your own. Did see the cart girl about 3 times during the round. Overall good course and good deal for golf, range balls and lunch.

This course has been transformed. 2 years ago, it was not in good shape. All the greens are very putt-able and the turf on the remainder is in very good shape.

The greens were in great shape. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the course. Fairways were muddy and patchy, sand was matted down despite great weather. Friendly staff, but the facilities need a major upgrade.

Played a few years ago (a cow pasture w/ tree roots) Now, new greens (fast & true). Fairways still bare this time of year but looking forward to another round later this Spring.

The greens are coming through the winter in great shape and there was plenty of fresh sand in the sand traps (which I frequented often). Everyone was friendly and the "hot deal" was a super value.

Played the south - North combination, the Greens on the south were in fact the best I played during my golf vacation, the North greens were also good but the south greens were more recently maintained.

Booked the round on GolfNow for $29 - great value. I'm a a Long time Fernandina resident and have been disappointed how the courses were let go but it appears they're heading in the right direction.

First time back in 2 years and was happy to see the progress all around the course. Some areas had been opened up around the greens and in other dense areas to make the course more Park-like. Fairways and Tee boxes were in good shape. Greens were true and extremely fast due to no over-seeding. The South Course was very nice with all the changes. Pace of play was excellent even on a holiday. Would recommend to all levels.

My wife and I (28 & !8 hcp respectively) play a lot of golf. This operation was a very nice surprise. The facilities are clean, in good repair, and well cared for. The course was in good shape considering it was mid February. Greens were excellent. Fairways were overseeded. We played in 3 hours. We both considered that we got our money's worth - and then some.

Greens on The south course are as good as any I have played . Unfortunately ,I have a hard time saying anything else positive . The starter was in a panic and behind as they have never had as many people on a Thurs . Gas carts are brutal for noise . The fairways are over seeded and pretty good but anywhere off the fairway is basically dirt .--- guess it is winter and probably should expect the conditions we experienced . They are redoing the greens on the west course and if they turn out as good as the south , it will be great . On the west course the holes are very repetitive and you get the feeling you had already played the hole you were on . Many of the tees are dirt and winter weeds .i think the price is attractive but that is about it .

A nice ride up A1A from Jax to find a well maintained course and friendly staff.

Amazing deal and the course was in great shape. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. Lunch was great and affordable. Looking forward to the next round.
