Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Exceptional track
Didn't really know much about course. About 45 minute drive from where I rent. Pleasantly surprised. Very long. Not that difficult if you can keep it straight or hit your targets. Greens were A1. Some bunkers should have been drained from rain and some areas on fairways were soggy. Surrounded by beautiful homes. very impressive. 2 Birdies, that's it. Marshalling would help.
I did not rate the course excellent, however it is excellent for the money. After playing this course, I am booking two more days there before moving on.
Nice course. We would play again. Price was $46 a player.
Enjoyed the course. Several twosomes stacked up behind a foursome caused play to be slow. We were the last twosome.
Gem in the Hills
Course was in great shape. Greens were just fertilized and top-dressed, but rolled very well. Great value for the money. Will definitely play again.
Challenging and accommodating!
Los Colinas provides a challenging round of golf for a wide range of golfer skills due to the number of and position of the tee boxes and large number of fairway and well positioned green side bunkers. Possessing large, undulating greens with a mix of wide and tight fairways, this course provides a challenging but fun round of golf!
Above average course
Nice course. Greens run true and are moderate for speed. Layout is challenging. Some holes are rather tight for driving. Staff were friendly and cooperative. Over all a tough but fair course.
A must play!
We play Las Colinas several times during our winter stay in Florida, and it's never been anything but perfect. I honestly believe the course is in better shape this year than last! The course layout is interesting and the setting is beautiful - winding through beautiful vegetation and Spanish-style homes. Although it's an hour's drive from our Florida winter home, the course is well worth the drive and the price is right to boot.
Golf
Good layout but too many wet areas in fairways. Hard too hit off fairways because grass was sparse. No body in front or behind us.
Great Playing Conditions
One of the best courses anywhere in central Florida, bar none...Everything, tee boxes to the greens were in great shape. Highly recommend for all levels of play.
Excellent
This course is great. Fairways in amazing shape. Greens were great. Tee boxes are perfect. Out of the 2 c and horses here at mission inn the Los colinas is my favorite. This is definitely worth the price. I probably wouldn't pay 60$ or more but for 50$ or less I think this was great. Layout was awesome and course had just enough challenges to keep you paying attention. I will definitely play here again.

Gary Koch did a nice job
Very fair challenging layout with variety undulations hills doglegs water sand jungle and wind.
One bad hole on back nine. Par 3 15. Almost impossible to hit beacouse of overhanging trees blocking access to the green on tee shot. My gues is Gary hasn’t looked at the course in a while. Overall a very nice track.

Excellent. condition
Staff friendly, range in good condition. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens in excellent condition. Greens rolled slower than they looked but true. Some slopes on the greens. Good layout with some turns, some tight holes and some hills. Some water, some woods and no O.B. ,only hazards marked by red lines. A very nice course.

Excellent place to golf
This venue is a shining example of how a golf experience should be. Brilliant staff with no gimmicks like valet parking, club cleaning, loading bags onto carts .... do golfers want all that? What I want is a great course prepared by staff that obviously care about the their course and that's exactly what you always get at Mission Inn. The course is challenging but fair. The greens were slower than I remember them on my last visit but that didn't detract from a great afternoon. Super golf at a fair price, who can ask for more?!

Great alternative to El Campeon on busy days.
We had played El Campeon the day before, and came out to play it again on Saturday. When it was our time to head to the tee box, there were two foursomes waiting to see off, a foursome waiting to hit their second, and a foursome on the green on number 1. Starter said we could jump over to Las Colinas, and I am glad we did. Pace of play was much better, and the course was in just as good of shape as El Campeon. Colinas doesn't have the character or the dramatic elevation changes, but it was still a fun course. I would definitely choose to play Campeon over Colinas most days, but at peak times this is a great alternative.
