Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Top notch
Staff did nice job greeting you at bag drop. Starter was friendly. Played here last year. Condition s haven’t changed. Still excellent. Went off about 815am as a single. I soon caught another 2 some and joined up and played last 14 holes with them. Pace was great finished the front in 140. The we caught a couple of 4 somes. Pace slowed a bit. 4 hour round. Greens were in great shape. A bit slower than last year. I believe they had just over seeded for winter so the seed kept getting all over the ball when putting. Just part of the season. Fairways and tees were excellent. Las Colinas is nice layout and test. Some tight holes. Some generous fairways off the tee. Joy to play and well worth the $
Strong test of golf from the back tees
We played the blue tees 6,900 yards but with no black tees, these ended up being what I consider the back tees. The course was in fantastic shape, no complaints there. I do, however, strongly recommend playing up here, no matter your index. As a 5 handicap, I consider myself a pretty good golfer and these tees, with this layout, were humbling. There are some holes that are virtually impossible from the back. The second hole is a par 3 where the tees were all the way back across the water. It played 215 yards, into the wind, all carry over water to a sliver of a green. Then you go into par 4's that measure 468 yards with blind tee shots and approaches. The way the course is laid out, if you don't hit the ball on a string, about 290 yards, you're in for a very long day. All in all, we enjoy both courses here and they're always in great shape, but I don't think I'll be playing the blue tees again on Las Colinas.

A very pleasurable experience
Friendly staff greeted us on arrival at this magnificent golf complex. The course was in excellent condition and each hole presented a very good challenge.to this mid handicap golfer. The greens were lush and uniform in speed. Each hole is well spaced out and there were some interesting passages through woodland/vegetation, between green and tee.
Having a late morning start, the pace of play was very good and we got round in under 3 hours.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience and well worth the extra few dollars over more average courses.

Excellent weekend
I’ve played this course as part of a state employee package at the resort. We have played the El Campéon course Saturday. For all of the rain we have been getting in Central Florida, the course was in very good shape. The track itself is quite challenging and long. It made you shape your shots off the tee box. Certainly worth the money to play if you could get out there. My only downside, was at the golf Academy at the resort let their players go out interspersed between the paying customers rounds. Some of these teenagers had no golf etiquette and we’re hitting into us although there was a foursome in front of my twosome. About a 4:30 hr round of golf so not bad. Definitely the course was different from the sister course which made for two great days of golf. Also, the restaurant and lodging accommodations were excellent. Definitely would play again.

Great greens and fairways.
Played on a cloudy dayfrom the black tees but the course was in great shape and had a wonderful experience. Impressed how receptive the greens were and rolled true.

One of The Best Around
Las Colinas is a great track. This time of year the prices are lower, but that has not changed how they take care of this course.
The greens were fast! The fairways lush and the tee boxes were in fine condition.
I played at 3pm and I saw 3 other groups on the course, so I played in under 2:30.
If I had a complaint about anything, it would be the cart paths which aren't really there. In other words, it's dirt and bumpy, deep potholes and it's not an easy navigate
None of this affects course play, but it is inconvenient.
I will play more before season starts up again.
Great job, you guys.

Always Excellent
Las Colinas was in great condition and it wasn’t too busy, so the pace of play was on point. I always enjoy making he trek from my home (45 minute drive). The only thing that always perplexed me about this place is that there is no breakfast “until the chef shows up”. Maybe I’m being picky, but I always feel like I should be able to grab a breakfast sandwich before an early morning round. Other than that, the place is tip top!

Just visiting the area.
Pleasant surprise excellent golf course but very tough but fair. I played from back tees probably made the course harder.

Great Course
Played this course with a buddy and got paired with another twosome. I have played the course before, but it has been awhile. The layout allows you to work the ball either way and provides some challenging shots. Has a lot of trouble that comes into play off the tee and around the greens. Had some rain the days prior, so the course was a tad bit wet on some holes. Almost lost a ball in the fairway that plugged with a hybrid hit about 230. Overall great course, just make sure to keep it in play or it will be a long day.

Great Course in very good conditions
The Course is great and the conditions were very goods. The only bad comments is the speed of the greens, they were very slow. Considering the amount of rain and weather in Central Florida thus time of the year is totally understandable.

Although it was a drive of about 50 minutes with many nearer courses competing for my golfing dollar, it was well worth the visit.
From our initial meet with John, the starter, to the very end when we returned the cart to John, it was a most pleasant golfing experience.
The course in embedded in a gated community of elegant houses and well manicured grounds.
Various wildlife added interest to our meanderings.
The holes are quite varied, interesting design, up hill and down dale with left and right dog legs.
And there is adjacent El Campeon course to play as well, also a gem! I played it last week.
Main negatives were 5 3 putts, contributing to an 84 score - not bad for a guy in his seventies playing from the blue tees.
I very much look to do it again soon.

Mission Inn Stay
We go to Mission inn about 3 times per year for a stay and play package. I can't say enough about this resort. Everyone from the check in desk to the breakfast wait staff, to the golf course staff is so polite and welcoming. The course is in great condition and not very busy, so we are able to play in about 3 hours. Only negative is that the course is very tree lined so not much of a breeze on a hot summer day. If you are interested in taking a golf vacation plan on a stay here and you will not be disappointed.

great courses
Great course and great conditions
They always keep these courses in great shape.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not in good shape
Played this course due to websites that siad it was one of the best courses in area. Played another course THAT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER. First four holes were nice. The further we got into our round the condition of the course deteriorated. Many dead areas. Greens were very slow. Loks like some holes were closed and the new ones were holes from a second course that was rerouted. Long distancess between. Overall not in good shape.
Long time fan
I have played the Mission Inn Colinas course about 10 fimes over the years when I am down in Florida. This course is always in excellent shape, the layout is playable for a wide range of handicaps, and nice views from each hole. Mission Inn in general is our favorite course in the northern Orlando area.
Very enjoyable day
Las Colinas was in superb condition. The greens looked amazing and rolled really well. The fareways and tee boxes were good too. We played El campeon the day before and loved that too. Staff very friendly especially the buggy/ starter men.we will definitely will be going back
