Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Awesome course
Me and my buddy played here yesterday. Awesome course in great shape!!!!
Tough Conditions to play this course for the first time. It was very wet and windy. The layout was very different than what you traditionally see in Florida which is a nice change of pace. Amazing practice facility. Well worth the drive if you haven't played here before. Some tee shots are a little more narrow than I would like given that I hook the ball, bring your A game!
Worth the drive
This course was awesome. The staff was amazing all day long. Glad we made the drive out to this course. Do not hesitate if you have a chance to play here.
Fair, but challenging
Enjoyed the course layout, Fairways were in great condition. Greens immaculate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back soon!!!
It's the other one...
NO question, at Mission Inn there is El Campeon and then the OTHER course..and Los Colinas is the OTHER course. That said if it were a stand alone you would still make the effort to play it, and as I experienced most people something to the facility will be wanting to play El Campeon so you may find Los Colinas all to yourself (we did).
Large distances between holes and afterwards in looking at an aerial map I found just how far 6-7, and 13-14 were from the clubhouse, and apparently in the middle of nowhere.
Change of Course
We were booked in to play Las Colinas, as we were putting several groups of juniors teed it up in front of us, they were walking. The starter asked us if we wanted to play El Campeon instead, we jumped at the chance.
The course was in reasonable condition as the greens were very inconsistent, some lightening fast, some extremely slow. It is a very good layout and you need every club in your bag. It was a good day out but would like to play it in all its splendour.
Las Colinas Golf
I found this course as an established resort/residential course. It is well maintained with outstanding greens. Fairways have generous widths and there are slight elevation changes on most holes. Water hazards are rare or not in play. The course had been recently over seeded. It was an enjoyable round that I will come back to play again.
Slow play for a Friday
Played on a Friday midday. Pro shop got my friend and I out right away but what they failed to tell us was that it was either ladies day or a ladies tournament going on. Play was extremely slow! I don't mind ladies playing as they have every right to be out and enjoying the course, But the Pro Shop needs to take some respondsibility and tell people it's going to be slow. Other than the slow play the course is very wide open off the tee and into the greens, it is well maintained and the greens are fast. Some of the best greens I've played on in Florida.
Great conditions
Wide open fairways make course easily playable even with mistakes off the tee. Once on the green putting is key to scoring. With fast greens a missed putt can easily roll well by the hole adding extra strokes. Abundance of woods and mature trees make for a very pleasant environment. This course is worth the trip for a days excursion.
"Practice"
Beautiful place and great layout. Love the challenge and the course sets up nicely. Greens are a little tough to read but roll perfectly. Some nice elevation changes as well certainly complement the layout. One small problem, the state high school tourney was/had been taking place so we were behind and in front of numerous players plotting their next rounds. I get it and did the same when I played unfortunately waiting several mins between shots we couldn't finish our round only got to 14. Singles all over put lots of pressure on us to "hurry up & wait" to the point my wife chose not to play after a handful of holes. Not the most fun day and wished we'd had more time or regular circumstances all in all great course.
Great set up
Both courses at Mission inn would be over $85 to play if they were near Disney. Good layouts both of them, with great elevation changes on El Campion. Great value at afternoon rates
Another great course.
Having played El Campeon a few times expected this to be a little easier and maybe not the same standard. However we were very pleased with every aspect of the course. The greens are a real challenge, good speed, true and need careful reading otherwise a 3 putt is inevitable. One thing that needs addressing is the water coolers which did not appear to be working.
Will definitely be back to play both courses.
Beautiful course
Lots of van and challenging course!
Mission Inn Golf
Course was in beautiful condition, staff is always professional, it is an awesome place to play golf. I am a Florida resident and drive the 1 1/2 hr drive to play here often...
Well worth the drive !!
Booked to play Los Colinas in the morning and found the course in excellent condition with both fairways and greens in outstanding condition. Although this is a fair drive out I would say it's worth every minute to get there. Played El Campion in the afternoon and to be honest although it was good the condition of the course was not as good as Los Colinas, they had however on a number of fairways been spiking them leaving your ball sometime sat in a small hole. Regardless, do make the time to go
Amazing
Had a great time playing Las Colinas and El Chapeon both great courses!!!!!!!
Amazing Trip / Hidden Gem
This may sound extremely cliché, but Mission Inn Golf and Resort is easily the “Hidden Gem” of Florida golf.
About 5 months ago we accidently stumbled across Mission Inn as they were advertising a very interesting stay and play option. Florida is saturated with high end golf resorts that sacrifice the enjoyment of golf by adding several unnecessary distractions. Mission Inn is the GOLFER’S PARADISE as it is truly caters to the avid golfer that is looking to play great golf and surround themselves with wonderful scenery and inviting guest services. Both courses were extremely well manicured. The 1st trip we made in May, the courses were exquisite. The greens were rolling between a 10 & 11 on the meter with the fairways running extremely smooth. The bunkers were raked, edged, and recently touched up with fresh sand. Both coursed could not have looked / played any better.
The biggest fear in playing / staying at a new golf resort / golf lodge is whether or not you will enjoy the time as you simply do not know what to expect. In all honesty, you can put that worry aside. Since our 1st trip to Mission Inn in May, we have already completed a 2nd follow up stay and play (Labor Day weekend). The guys and I are already trying to figure out the next trip we can make.
Mission Inn Golf and Resort receives my full endorsement and recommendation. If you are ever in the Orlando / Tampa / Lakeland location or simply looking for a GREAT golf experience without breaking the bank, please visit this venue. I promise you will not regret it.

Heavenly Course
Played this course on a number of previous occasions. It's in great shape notwithstanding the recent deep tyniing of the greens..would not hesitate to recommend this course to others and will certainly play it during our next visit to Florida. Well worth the drive from Orlando.
very nice round
beautiful course, just beat the rain , greens were very good but hard to judge speed some faster than others would go back anytime
Another good one !!!
Nice staff, for such a high end place, I thought the cart folks may have brought a cart to our car like Juliette Falls does...All good...Jason in the pro shop real helpful in giving me info on the course and it's amenities...Saw beverage gals for different times, nice touch as it was hot as haiti's...All in all a great time, want to hit El Campeon next time !!!
