Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Caveat on greens...
The other reviews here slamming the course about the greens are way off base and wholly unfair. If you book, especially for the first time, without looking at the past reviews, then just be quiet about the greens situation. The course is still fun to play and at a fairly reasonable price.
Great place
Played here for a few years now. Can't wait until the greens are up and running again.
Avoid this course
All greens are burned and not playing. The greens have been moved to the fairway. Some tee boxes are also moved.
Very mad that we paid good money and had a crappy course.
Temp Greens
Temporary greens s are a little slow but playable had to eyeball and guesstimate for my approach shots
Bent Creek Jacksonville
Absolutely the worst condition I have ever seen in
Worse round ever !
All of the greens were closed. The pins were just randomly put in the fairway wherever looked good. Tee boxes were moved on some holes. Now I know why there was literally nobody else there playing. I feel like they shouldn’t even charge you to play on that course it is so bad. I will not be back. This was in Father’s Day and there was not a single person in the range either.
Need to have cart girl for drinks and water coolers
Working in it
The course has temporary greens making it short right now but the fairways are in pretty good shape right now. The guys were working on the greens while I was there so it is coming. Can’t wait to see this back in full swing.
Course under going greens maintenance for whatever reasons and on a Saturday afternoon the bar and kitchen were closed not to pleased but hey it’s not my course I’m just visiting
Dog track
The kid in the pro shop rambled thru instructions so fast, I had no idea what was going on. The course it’s self was so so, but having 18 false greens, a made up golf hole (par 3), and nobody watching pace of play is just a bad mix. We literally waited over 10 mins to tee off on a par 5!! Got tired of waiting and just left passing the 4some in front of JUST THE 2 of us, only to see NO ONE in front of them. I didn’t expect TPC quality, but did expect some kind of pride.
Interesting
So, playing temp greens are no substitute for actual greens. Surprisingly however, course was still pretty fun to play and was also markedly easier with the shortened distances and modified layout. Course has done a pretty decent job into making something ok out of a crappy condition.
Bait and Switch
Good deal when booked. Arrived at course only to learn ALL 18 greens damaged and they were using temporary greens. We were one of 3 groups on entire course so pace of play was understandably great. Problem was that the info about the greens wasn’t provided on Golf Now and the clubhouse only provided info on one small sign at their door. Should have known there was a problem when I arrived to find only 5 cars in the parking lot in the middle of the day. No wonder Eagle Landing has little to no tee time availability and jacked their prices up by 40%.
Temp greens
All 18 holes have temporary greens, making yardage a guessing game unless you have a flag meter. Fairways in great shape and staff is friendly. When new greens are ready this will be a good challenge.
