Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Awful
I told people 13 years ago this course was Jacksonvilles hidden gem. Played quite a few times. I have never seen the conditions as bad. There are no greens. Fairways very erwet no grooming. Tee boxes needed cutting, practice area needed work. Sorry very disappointed. Will not return for awhile
You get what you pay for
Course was in decent shape, held a lot of water from the rains but that’s typical for the area and expected. The greens rolled fast but didn’t respond to anything landing on it. It was pretty much like playing in the parking lot with how hard they were.
Bent Creek review
Nice public course. Excellent value for the money. Fairways a little thin on grass that early in the year but very playable. Greens rolled smoothly. Enjoyable and worth the money. Will play again on next trip to Florida.
Terrible condition
Played Bent Creek on 3/6 and I’d say it was bad, very bad. The tee boxes were bare spots and dirt galore. The greens were yes fast but all brown , no grass or green at all and weeds are around the fringe. The course was littered with TRASH , beer bottles , water bottles , a cart sand pail & scoop, safety cones and a 5 hour round of golf will have me not returning. Sad that so much money was spent on redoing their greens last year to see the course in such poor shape and littered with trash.
Fun challenging course loved playing on it the green are a little hard and fast but they have just been redone so they will improve
The greens were smooth and fast. Loved it love going there to play. The layout is tricky and challenging.
Another Saturday circus and bent creek
The management here is terrible.
No control of the course at all.
Drunk golfers skipping hole to hole.
Not enough separation between tee times.
I have witnessed personally the place packed all tee times booked and walk up golfers getting on the course crowding it up even more. No carts 45 minute waits to tee off. 5 1/2 hour rounds
That’s the normal at bent creek.
I won’t waste my money here anymore.
Slow death
Greens were good. Tee boxes sparse. Fairways average for the time of year. The pace was agonizing. We found ourselves intentionally stalling in hopes the next tee box would be clear. Nope. To make it worse, it wasn't just the group in front...it was much bigger than that. There is no ranger, and the standard is whatever way the wind blows. Catch a round at the right time, not a bad track. Catch it at the wrong time, you won't want to come back. If it's busy, why fix it...right?
Need to have A Ranger on course. Not the first time for Slow Play!!
The course should implement RANGERS. Slow play was caused a foursome decided to let another player join to make a fivesome. It was not approved by starter. A player went out on 3 rd hole and joined the 4 some ahead of us. Making it the slowedt round ever.!!!!
