Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

It was a very nice day
I took my brother in law out for a round at Bent Creek and had heard some pretty bad things about the course. They have made some vast improvements based on the comments I had heard. Thee course doesn't seem to drain too well as it hadn't rained recently and there were some very soggy areas. The greens were in very nice shape and the course as a whole was very playable.
First time playing, and definitely will be back. 18 solid holes, can’t beat it for the price!
Great Layout. Each hole is its own and there are 18 good ones. The greens were running smooth and at a decent pace. Definitely some of the nicer greens in Jacksonville (public courses). The greens are firm, making the course more difficult than the 6400 yards from the tips would usually be. The only part of the course that was not in great condition was the tee boxes. Only a few were really nice, most were bare, little grass or else a shaggy thin overseeded surface. But that’s what a Tee is for!!! I would rather have the tee boxes be a little bare, than any other part of the course be anything but perfect.
Greens run pure! I’d say running a 10 on the STIMP
Fairways pure and bunkers and everything else better than average for a public course that costs under $65
And Also a Great practice facility!
Great pace and condition.
New greens are great! Very hard, not easy to stop the ball so land short and it will run.
Great round of golf with two heroes
My wife and I showed up to play golf and was paired up with to younger players. Both were Navy pilots from Jacksonville Naval Air Station. It turns out that they were from from the same squadron that I flew with during the Vietnam war and I clicked with them. The course was in great shape and it had a unique and demanding design. The staff was great and so was the weather. FLY NAVY
Slow play
Many groups hit into us and played through went around our foursome. Better to play twosome at this course.
Greens were great
Last time I was there greens were horrible. But boy have they changed. Running fast and true. It was great playing it again.
Good challenging course
Great value for the money with narrow fairways surrounded by lots of moguls ... challenging for the average golfer.
New greens
New greens are nice but be aware of the areas around the greens. Mushy. Other then that it’s perfect
New greens are great but already have signs of damage around edges.
I hope they take care of the new greens. They are great , putt true and fast. However, there are already signs of weakness around edges that if not controlled, can permeate the whole thing. Tee boxes are in pretty bad shape, having to tee up on bare ground on many times.
