About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Temporary greens
The course has replanted the greens and so they're using temporary greens. The new greens look like they'll be excellent, and the rest of the course is well maintained. It was a hot day in Jacksonville, but I enjoyed the course.
Good Course
Course was challenging today. It wasn't the staff's fault, just was wet due to recent rains. Greens are being upgraded and it looks like it will be a very good improvement!!!! I look forward to returning and trying them when completed.

Temporary greens.
The course had 18 temporary greens. I get why but the par 3’s were literally too short to play. Last rant I called course earlier in day to determine if it was cart path only. I was informed there were no restrictions. It was cart path only. It matters to an older person like myself.

Course being worked on
The overall setup is poor. Was not informed that the greens were being redone and wont be ready until September 2021 so makeshift greens were cut on the front of the each original green. They weren't cut well at all, forget about putting.

We have it posted on our website prior to booking, at the reservation center and golf shop. Sometimes it gets missed and we apologize. Our newly renovated greens will be open in September! Rainy Fathers Day round
Overall course layout and condition was good… still have temp greens and a few had rivers running thru them because it rained the whole time… oh well played decent and paired up with a nice guy from GA. Will be great when new greens are in!

Great value!
Lots of complaints about no warning of temp greens. The notification has been on golf now since they started them. Course is in pretty good condition and is very user friendly. For the money this is an excellent course. Staff was very friendly as well. Seth was really helpful and cordial.

Temporary Greens
I was not aware there would be temporary greens

Temporary greens
Course is in very good condition except for the temporary greens, very small, rough, bumpy. Was told of this before round and I understand but it does really affect play. Maybe some temporary yardage markers would help as the greens are not a consistent distance from the greens under construction, some are 100 yds + shorter.

Temp Greens Until September 2021
Should be a disclaimer that the greens are under construction... Club is utilizing temporary greens placed about 20 yards in front of actual greens. Great time to take someone learning out. Not much traffic. Nice course for the money normally. Have to plan shots well. Not a long course. Friendly staff.
