About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Course was in great shape, greens were excellent.
Tee boxes need help
Waste areas need to be cut down, could not see some greens ( all on front 9 )
OMG!!! The new greens are nice!
I have playing here since 1999 and just love the layout. Always have. The greens before had outlived their useful lifespan and had fallen into a really sad state. Bent Creek finally did what a lot of courses just don't have the resources to do these days and completely dug up the old ones and rebuilt the greens and WOW!!! I played there yesterday and I was just blown away by how nice they are now. Congrats and very well done.

Interesting layout!
First time playing. Would approach some holes differently now that we know what’s on the other side! Greens were in very good condition.
Ranger
You need a course ranger to keep things moving at a steady pace. Slower golfers should be notified by him to let faster golfers bypass. This would cause less hassle.
PACE OF PLAY!!!
Holy smokes was the pace of play some of the WORST ive seen in my years of golfing and not only that the ranger was no where to be seen to help with pace of play....... DONT PAY ANYTHING ABOVE 30$ FOR THIS COURSE WITH THIS TYPE OF PACE YIKES!,

What a great golf course really good value for money. The loudest perfect on the course is in great condition

temporary greens but course well maintained
I always enjoy playing here because it is well maintained and I understand the permanent greens will open on Labor Day, a little ahead of schedule.

The greens were shut down and they had temporary greens. We were not told that online when booking or I would have not booked this course. Redoing all cart paths so you couldn't use them. Definitely not a good day of golf with the conditions of the course.

No where on the info listed on the offer was the fact that there were temp greens for every hole. Rather important to know.

Repairs
Usually the course is in really great condition, however today they were working on cart paths and the greens. It was a really good day, I shot my highest score of 93!

temporary greens but course well maintained
I don't mean to brag..But..I eagled the par 5, 6th hole!
From about 120 yards, lost site over a hill and couldn't find the ball. You guessed it..in the cup!!!!
Also birdied the par 4 10th hole.
Looking forward to opening the new greens. :-)

Temporary greens
The course has replanted the greens and so they're using temporary greens. The new greens look like they'll be excellent, and the rest of the course is well maintained. It was a hot day in Jacksonville, but I enjoyed the course.

Good Course
Course was challenging today. It wasn't the staff's fault, just was wet due to recent rains. Greens are being upgraded and it looks like it will be a very good improvement!!!! I look forward to returning and trying them when completed.
