Bent Creek Golf Course

Well there are a few tee boxes that need work and a few greens that need work.. overall the course is nice.

Normally, pace of play is good, even on Fridays. But, this round was crazy slow. There was a group of 5 playing together, topped by a group of 6 in front of us. In between the two groups were 2 somes and 3 somes. A person came out, but didn't break up the large groups. Club need to do a better job of consolidating groups into 4 somes.

Hole 1 has always been in bad shape but the rest of the greens are good to go. I have played this course three times this month and hole one is still the same. The staff and the snack bar are one of the best custom service in the area. The starter name Rich is very good if there is a open he will let you go if you are ready.

Play Saturday at 1:22 arrived at the course was able to play by myself I did not have to wait at any time the course is in fantastic shape the greens on the front nine of recently been aerated and seeded other than that the course was fantastic and it was a wonderful time and I highly recommend it to anyone

There was a twosome in front of us holding up the round. Realized it was the club golf pro giving someone a lesson. The pupil was hitting four to five shots while we waited on the tee box. They must’ve noticed our frustration, so they quit after nine holes. Cost us at least 30 minutes on the front nine..

To make it worse, there was no water in the coolers on a majority of the hole. Bone dry as we waited in frustration waiting for the pair to move on!!!

Great price excellent layout. Everyone so nice worth the drive Jacksonville.

Keep sowing grass seed and moving the marks more often to prevent bald areas.

Nice job of now mowing the grass too short in the fairways, one should not be penalized for a great shot in the fairways to have the proper length of the grass.

Only two greens needing spot attention. 16 were in great shape.

Good public course. A few of the greens had problems that made putting unreliable. Many areas at the ends of cart paths where extremely eroded. Otherwise, a good course enjoyable to play.

This course was in decent shape and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a Saturday afternoon and was extremely backed up, so the starter gave us a hole by hole review with tips on how to play each hole. I was disappointed that the golf boards were not working.

Overall great value for the money and if I'm ever back in Jacksonville, I would play it again!

Last week I requested the tee box markers be painted to match the score card. Not only did they paint the tee box markers, they replaced them with new. The green on hole #1 is the worst of the 18, but playable and the new manager is working on that too. All in all, Bent Creek is a great course to play and I'll continue to play every week.....

The only problem I have with this course is the tee markers color isn't even close to the score card and several tee boxes have only 1 marker and not 2. Need to replace missing markers and paint the wooden markers to match the card.

Maybe cause Friday was a great day for golf. But our 3 some waited 3-5 minutes on every shot. When we finished the front 9 and got to the 10th there was a group that had just teed off, the group we were following and then us . I do like the course BUT don't think I would book a Friday again.

It took 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. There were numerous times that there were 4 groups on a par 4 and 3 groups on the par 3’s. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
