Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Pro shop sequencing of groups needs attention
At $29.17, greens fees, tax and GolfNow fee, Bent Creek is in the upper half of courses in the area.
Greens were a little uneven but putted very true. Fairways good but hard.
We were a foursome and were trailed by a threesome (we let through), a single (we let through), a twosome (we let through) and a couple of singles (enough with the letting play through - you guys can join up).
Likely won't be back for quite a while, Unfortunately. There are too many other options.
Love playing here!
Always have a good time playing here. Ive played nearly every open to public course in and around Jax, and this course is tops with the best of them. Good layout, and always in great shape. Would recommend to anyone.
Slow play
The course was in great shape. The pace of play was terrible! Stagger your early morning tee times between the grant and back nine! Frustrating to play have to play so slowly
Great value
Obviously the course get lots of play. Hats off to course management having it in the current condition.
Great Day for Golf
First time playing Bent Creek, and just as reviews indicate, playing here is really awesome. Every hole feels so different; some holes are “gettable” and some challenging. The perfect weather today really helped enhance the experience, but i’d come back without even thinking twice.
Keep the water coolers filled please %!
Wonderful course, but it was hot today and the water coolers on the back 9 were empty! No cart girl either.
Poorly managed
Pace of play was absolutely terrible. Worst I’ve experienced in Jacksonville. Certain holes were kept up well while others weren’t. Overall not a good experience my first time playing and won’t be back. Plenty of other good courses in the area where your time/experience is valued.
Bent Creek!
All in all, a very enjoyable day of golf! The staff was as accommodating and friendly as you could possibly ask for and the price was certainly right! The greens were maybe a little inconsistent speed-wise but still rolled nicely throughout. Fairways are in excellent shape! Fun day... can’t wait to go back again soon!
Great shape!!
what a nice round of golf greens are in almost perfect shape.
Great Course
Friendly Staff. Course was in great condition. Fairways were hilly but playable.
Course was in pretty good shape
The course was in pretty good shape. The greens had been punched a few weeks ago, so 1 more week and they should be back to normal....but they weren't too bad.
OK for hot deal
alot of rain lately made course wet but ok. If hot deal availiable take it.
Unlucky day!
I usually have nothing but good things to say about this course. But mother nature had her way today. They had 2 inches of rain overnight. This caused so much standing water. Most everywhere was wet. Cart path only. Also caused pace of play to be extremely slow. Hopefully the weather will change and allow this course to dry out.
great greens
The course continues to be well-managed, with greens, fairways and most tee boxes in good shape. This is in spite of heavy rain the past few weeks. It is a pleasure to golf at Bent Creek. The range and practice areas are also in good shape, with two chipping areas. The staff are always friendly and professional.
There are a few areas of erosion due to cart damage but overall, the greenskeepers do a good job of trying to make the course a little bit better each month. For the price, this is an outstanding course. The membership options are also a very good value.
Great track, but play early
This is one of my favorite courses in Jacksonville. It is a challenging layout but does not punish good shots. Great for all skill levels. It is not a well-kept secret as your average pace of play will be 5+ hours. Get out early. Right now the course is very soggy and is having difficulty draining. Still lots of fun and worth the money for sure.

Bent Creek has been a premier public course in this area for years. They have a few greens that are experiencing problems, but overall as good as usual.
