Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Unlucky day!
I usually have nothing but good things to say about this course. But mother nature had her way today. They had 2 inches of rain overnight. This caused so much standing water. Most everywhere was wet. Cart path only. Also caused pace of play to be extremely slow. Hopefully the weather will change and allow this course to dry out.
great greens
The course continues to be well-managed, with greens, fairways and most tee boxes in good shape. This is in spite of heavy rain the past few weeks. It is a pleasure to golf at Bent Creek. The range and practice areas are also in good shape, with two chipping areas. The staff are always friendly and professional.
There are a few areas of erosion due to cart damage but overall, the greenskeepers do a good job of trying to make the course a little bit better each month. For the price, this is an outstanding course. The membership options are also a very good value.
Great track, but play early
This is one of my favorite courses in Jacksonville. It is a challenging layout but does not punish good shots. Great for all skill levels. It is not a well-kept secret as your average pace of play will be 5+ hours. Get out early. Right now the course is very soggy and is having difficulty draining. Still lots of fun and worth the money for sure.

Bent Creek has been a premier public course in this area for years. They have a few greens that are experiencing problems, but overall as good as usual.
Old faithful
I’ve been playing this course for a 20+ years. While it has gone thru some changes - including management companies - it’s a course you can rely on for a good experience.
My only complaint is that their system doesn’t always sync with GolfNow. One time we came and the tee time was double booked. They got us out but it’s a little annoying. Today our time was confirmed with an email and when we arrived, our time had been pushed back one slot. It’s not the end of the world but this is the only course I’ve ever had “issues” with syncing to GolfNow.
Really like this course, very good condition for a course open to the public. Good layout, nice setup 6 scoring holes 6 solid par hole and 6 you better pay attention to what you are doing. Have not been disappointed any time I have gone. Better than alot of other 4star rated courses.
Great course even without the discounts
Staff were very friendly. Course was well maintained. Lots of bunkers but also plenty of open space if you could hit straight.
We are glad you enjoyed yourself on your last visit! Can't wait to have you back.
Wonderful course please fix teebox for par 3’s
This is a wonderful course that I play a lot. Please fix the teebox on the number 2 hole! I mention this every time I write a review. So when you going to fix it? I hate teeing off in dirt!
Trap practice
I do not usually land in traps, maybe one or two a round. This time si traps and while the sand is white and soft they were not raked out to start the day and there were a lot of foot prints and unraked areas. They really need to take care of the traps they now have which used to be horrible with no sand and hard panned. Otherwise, love the course. It is a shot maker course and makes you think.
Nice time
Course is in good condition, lush fairways absorbing the daily (it seems!) rain. Greens have been recently punched but recovering nicely. Should be in very good to excellent condition by next week.
Nice staff, friendly and helpful. Great value at the snack bar.
Tough course
Bent Creek is not a course for someone just starting to play golf. It is very challenging at times and can become extremely frustrating, however if you’re up to the challenge, it will definitely show you where your strengths and weaknesses in your game lie.
Course is in good shape.. greens are looking good.. just need to work on some of the tee boxes.. they are looking rough on some of the holes.
