Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Very Good Track
Don't judge the course by the first green, as it is slower than the rest. Course is in very good shape, but the tee box markers need work...... either replace or at least paint them to clearly match the color on the card. Staff is great....
Florida golf
Fairways in super shape. Greens good but need some more warm weather in spots. T boxes need some definition. Overall, very good condition.
Thanks for fixing the tee box
Wonderful course, thanks for finally fixing the tee box on the second hole!
GOOD COURSE
We visit, periodically, from North Carolina. Always stop to play Bent Creek. Enjoy the course a lot. A challenge. It was in good shape and the pace of play was fine. Will play there again when we come back to JAX.
Pretty good shape
One or two greens have been repaired and one or two tee boxes could do with some repair but overall the course is in really good shape.
Golfers could do a lot to help keep the greens in good shape by fixing their divots. The number of divots left on the greens is astronomical and it only takes a second to fix yours and one other.
Pace of play was very slow on this day. "Ready Golf" should be mandatory. Quit sitting in the cart waiting for the others in your party to address and hit their shot. Grab your range finder and a couple clubs and be ready to play. If your partner has not played by the time you are ready, swing away, swing away.
Very good for the $ I paid
Hot Deal and I got paired with 2 local's who helped with course management. Course was in pretty good shape. Probably not as big a challenge for low handicapper but for my 12 handicap was challenging enough.
Great course but overcrowded
Great course but please put space between tee times or get a ranger that takes his job seriously! 3 groups on the second hole tee box is ridiculous!
Very enjoyable
Even though this is a busy course (played on mid-morning on a Thursday), the pace of play was very good (about 4 hours). The course marshals were evident but not pushy at all. The greens rolled very well but were not extraordinarily fast. My friend and I were fortunate to get paired with a knowledgeable member, saving both strokes and ammo. The layout is very diverse with doglegs, water and sand in all the right (or wrong) places. I look forward to getting even with this course the next time I am in the area.
We really appreciate your feedback! Thank You
Thanks for playing! Come back soon.
Greens are bad
Poor greens were biggest problem. Fairways and tee boxes fairly good for this time of year. Course offers a lot of challenges from any tee.
Enjoy course generally.
Thanks for your feedback. If you can, please give me a call at 904-779-0800 to discuss in more detail.
Get a ranger!
Great course, but please get a ranger that will enforce the pace of play! Behind a foursome that would not let us play through and no one was in front of them! I shouldn’t have to skip a hole in my round of golf!
Thanks for your comment. I apologize for your slow play situation and will look to increase our ranger presence ASAP.
