Challenging Course for Driving
Course is challenging due to all the trees and water and requires straight drives. Some of the fairways can be soft. Played twice and the first time made it through in 3.5 hours. Not so the second time which took 5 hours.
Well worth the drive to play this course.
The course is long but pretty open as far as the fairways go.
The greens are well maintained and in good shape.
This is a great golf course for under $50.
Great course, good condition, greens just a little slow
The Champions Club has really made some excellent strides in the last few months. Course improvements and Club House remodeling. Tony is a great Pro and teacher and I will continue to support the Champions Club.
Overall grade was a B.
The course was in great shape. The greens didn't have any dead spots on them. Unfortunately there was a threesome of 70 somethings a couple of groups ahead of us that were moving very slow. I was hoping for a sub 4 hour round and this one took 5 hours (not what your hoping for Wed 11am tee time).
Better than expected
From the loos of the exterior of the clubhouse and driving range I didn't expect to much for my rate of 50,60 on golf now for a Sunday morning round, The course was well maintained in most areas, the greens were consistent and had no issues which is a focal point for me,. Some relatively docile par 4s but the par 5s and 3s stand out. Not sure it's worth 50 but definitely may play again when I visit the area.
Course in great condition
Second time playing here. Made it through in well under 4 hours. Thought the course was in great shape will definitely play again. It's a great deal with golfnow.
Big improvement
Best course condition in years. Bar food could use an upgrade. Grilled chicken sandwich very disappointing. They are punching greens on 8/29, so beware.
Best condition in many years
Having played the Champions Club off and on for over a decade I think I can safely say that it is currently in the best condition I have ever seen it. Lush and green, almost no dead spots. It gets a lot of play, of course, so you have divots, but that is expected. In spite of the great conidtion, the greens were very slow. Play it now while it is in such great shape. It was, however, very slow. Took us 5 hours to play and we were waiting from our first shot on. Too many tee times to adequate flow and a series of challenging ending holes that slow up the entire course. They need more spacing in their tee times.
Fun course
This course has a great layout and a few challenging holes. It also has great scoring holes. There are a couple of short par 5s but it will test your accuracy. The greens are great and the fairways are nicely cut.
Recent rain made it wet
Recent rain made it a little wet but course was in great shape.
Excellent course
Had a fantastic time playing this course- also had a great staff their Saturday when I played
The course is a lot of Fun
This has always been a course with a great layout. Now it is once again in outstanding shape!!!
Course was actually in great shape!
I have played this course a number of times but this time it was in great shape!
My first visit ....I'll play here again!
Great track - my first time playing it. Course is in great shape - unbelievable prices on the beverage cart - $3 for a mixed drink!
Very fair track - need to play it a time or two to 'learn' it - go try this one!
Greens need help
Course was ok, but the greens were in bad shape. Lots of sand and bare spots.
Good layout
The course has challenging target and carries as well as a good mix of dog-legs. The course conditions were good and the greens ran true.
Fun course....
The course was in great condition! Layout is nice, challenges any golfer, greens were in great shape, well worth the $33 I paid. Only issue was the large amounts of slow paced old guys in no rush cause they had nothing better to do, but thats any course in Florida. Play it and enjoy yourself....
very nice
Nice course in real good shape , maybe the price can be lower . But nothing to complain about !!! liked it and enjoyed it
Good course for Jax
Greens looked great. Just really slow I think that's a Jax issue. If you want real and fast greens its Timicuan or Sawgrass ! But all in all great shape all the way around !! Pace of play was ridiculous though. Group in front teed off from 3 different boxes and all should have played whites at best !!!
