Awesome!!
This was my second time playing here. I played for the first time 3mths ago and loved it so I have been itching to come back! The course was incredible and the greens were beautiful! There we no bare spots whatsoever and the ball rolled very true. They were just barely a bit slower than I would have liked but for the money you can't beat it! If you haven't played here before you need to go asap! It will be well worth you while and the staff ROCKS!!
Make your next T-time for here..unLLGHHHH
I have played this course many times . Each and every time I play I am amazed on what great shape it is in . I feel like I am walking on carpet on both the Fairways and Greens . I play most of the courses in the greater Jacksonville area and many others . I have been to many of the high dollar courses in the past month . I have yet to find a course I enjoy as much as Champions in Julington Creek . None are in the shape this one is in . From the time you walk in until you leave you are treated like they are happy to see you by the Staff. It is a welcome feeling . From the Pro-shop to the Starters/Rangers and cart persons . They all bend over backwards to make sure you the best experience you can have . When you hit the ball on the Greens here the ball will stick . Very unlike many other Greens on some of the other courses. I may not be a great Golfer but I feel like one each and every time I play at Champions . So make time to play on a great Golf course.
Fantastic course!
This course was amazing! The greens did not a have one spot on them. The fairways were absolutely amazing. The tee box excellent. The scenery from hole to hole was incredible. Felt like I was playing on a Ritz Carlton course. Payed $31 and felt like I should have payed $150. I would recommend this course to anyone and everyone. I will deffinently be going back over and over again. Course is maintained perfectly! Amazing course with great hospitality!!!!!!! Go!!!!!
A good course for the money
This course greens is tired and in need of some face lifting. The greens had been aerated and the grass is long making sure putts not so sure. Paying under $30 dollars is about what the cost should be for this course and it's overall condition. With this said, I shot a good round.
course condition is very good
The entire course is in good condition. Greens roll true but are a bit slow. Aireated the greens a couple of weeks ago. Staff is friendly.
Nice course to spend some time golfing.
The greens had just been aerated but they were still good to putt on.
We made the tee times last minute for a foursome and we were not rushed over the course of the round.
Value for money
Course was in overall good shape. Due to the rain in previous days, the bunkers were wet. Greens were a bit slow but in good condition. Pace of play was excellent and we didn't have to wait a single time.
Very enjoyable course and nice layout
Had a great time on a great day for golf. A few narrow fairways and a number of lakes but a good layout given. Had a perfect game going til I got to the eighth hole and for the next 4 holes I gave plenty back. That was the same time we ran into a road block and for the rest of the game everything just about came to a hault. The pace of play was terrible. But all in all we had a great time except for the slow play.
Nice track good condition
I haven't played this course for a long time but I will be back more often, really nice course from tee to green.
So good booked for next day also.
I in the last few months have played many of the public courses in the greater Jacksonville area. Nothing prepared me for the phenomenal shape That Julington Creek is in . Fairways leave you with some great shots at the Greens . Greens are smooth and running just right as well as holding that great shot that hits the green . I liked it so much I booked it again for the next day. . If you haven't played Julington Creek lately I would encourage you to do so . My hat is off the the great staff and hard work they have put into the course...5/29/14
Sub-par greens
Have played this course many times over the years, and enjoy the layout. Unfortunately, the greens are not in the best of shape. They are quite inconsistent, and some bad spots.
Good Price Good Conditions
Seems like a relatively nice golf course. Not extraordinary but nothing to complain about. I'll come back.
Good Course - well worth the drive
Starter extremely friendly, but bar staff spoilt it being a bit off-hand. Will be back
Accomadated to beat the rain
This has been a "back-up" course for me for many years.
They are always friendly and efficient in the pro shop.
I am happy to drive the 25 miles to experience the course a coup[e time a year.
Beautiful property
Very friendly staff...beautiful layout...great price...however, the greens were awful and need immediate attention.
Course need some care
The greens had just been sanded. It would have been nice if we were informed of this before going out. The golf carts should have been washed and cleaned.saw no rangers on the course. Not much play so we moved along quite nicely.
1st Time Was Great
We had 3 golfers and had a great time. Everyone was friendly and the course was fun. The back 9 is in better shape than the front but the front was just fine and only will get better. Greens are in good shape and rolled pretty true, some were longer than others but way better greens than others in town. The only negative is we played behind a slow foursome and couldve played much faster. Cart girl was attentive as well!! I would golf here again anytime!!
Julington Creek
Haven't played here in years as their prices have gone sky high. Finally found a good deal on GolfNow, so I went. Got paired up with several people on the 1st hole, they were fun and nice. Pace of play was great, didn't have more than a minute or two on just several holes, the way it should be. Greens were a little dodgy, fast on one hole, slow on the next. The grass is still in transition, shouldn't expect too much this time of year. Expected a soggy mess with all the rain lately, but wasn't bad at all, good drainage. Played well too, shot an 84 with just a few hiccups to push it up to that score...
Course in terrible shape
Green are the worst, no grass in most of the fairways. Range is a pit, no ranger to speed pace of play.
