About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

A good day golfing
Haven't played here in years. Despite the reviews, found a Hot Deal and it was definitely worth the play. Not your championship or resort course for sure, but its in decent to good condition and a good play nonetheless. Check your expectations and you'll enjoy a casual round on a course that doesn't charge those exorbitant South Florida prices. Would rate 3.5 if possible.
Good overall, considering not a lot a players the pace of play was a bit slow , I guess a Marshall presence would speed up play and allow faster players to go trough .

Greens slowly comming back
Some greens have bare spots but course is improving
Greens are improving but still bad on a number of holes.
Pace of play
I found myself behind a twosome who had no idea of golf etiquette. They stayed in the long grass and trees and constantly would hit a second and even third shot. I feel if a marshall was roaming the coures he/she would correct this type of activity. Other than that I have always like this course and it's challenges. Will continue to play here but would appreciate a marshall.
