Killian Greens Golf Club

Clubhouse is almost non existent. We drive up from the keys so we leave early in case of traffic problems. We got there 45 minutes early and were told because we reserved a "hot deal" that we couldn't get a cart until 10-15 minutes before our tee time. Just wanted to go over by starter and putt and chip on practice area until our tee time but they said no, so we had to take our clubs and balls and walk across the street to practice until it was time for us to come back and be allowed to get a cart. Since they have a starter he could have held us up until our tee time and all would be good. There was no one that tee'd off the whole time we had to wait because there was no one going out. Such a short sighted decision by management. Usually tee times on most golf courses are every 10-15 minutes apart, so imagine it they're busy and you can't get your cart until then and have to drive to you car and load up your gear and get over to the started for your tee time. Not sure who made that decision but we may never come back because of it.

I come to play golf not to get drunk in a fancy bar unfortunately sometimes not even the beer girl is around that’s why I bring a couple of beers in my golf bag I know I’m not supposed to do that but with the heat of Miami a cold one is needed, the do have to do something about that issue back in the 80’s and 90’s it was really nice, the course close for sometime and got to had some restaurants,

Anyway come and play the greens are great 👍🏻

The golf shop lacks basic structure — during check-in, staff filled out the bag rental form incorrectly, marking a putter cover that wasn't actually in the bag. This led to an unwarranted $14 charge at the end of the round. To their credit, once I raised the issue, they refunded the amount, but this kind of mix-up shouldn't happen in the first place if the shop had proper checks in place.

Also worth noting: the "range" for warming up isn't really a range in the traditional sense. You have to use your own balls and walk out to collect them yourself — there's no ball dispenser or automated system like most courses offer. Not a big deal if you know in advance, but it was a surprise and adds friction before a round.

The course itself is fine, but the operational side (shop staff, rental process, practice facilities) needs improvement.

First time playing Killian in some time.

The course was in the best condition that I’ve seen, ever.

It’s not a top tier course, but you can see that much effort has been taken in maintaining the greens and fairways.

Keep up the good work.

Killian has a policy to not release carts to “hot deal” purchasers until 15 minutes before the tee time. This left very little time to get the cart loaded and have any reasonable warm up time on the putting/chipping green. This was my 1st time running into this anywhere and it was by no means busy at the time I went. Would love more than 15 minutes but other than that, the course was great and the staff were friendly.

Staff was rude and unwelcoming..... Killian doesnt deserve a single star

Played midweek during the midday heat. Course was pretty empty. I joined a pair of golfers so we were 3. Greens were in nice shape but a little slow. Played preferred lies as the fairways were hit and miss. Anyway for the money around here it was a good round.
