Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

It’s absolutely worth to play here.
It takes from 2.5 hours from Naples to drive here, but still it’s worth.
This course needs work
Fairways and especially greens need repair work. Large patches of plain sand and damaged grass on greens.
Nice Course
When we got to the starter, he warned us that it was a challenging course. The canal that runs through it adds a water hazard to many of the hole. Well tended. Fairways were mixed with funky grass sometimes. We enjoyed it.
Not bad
Most of the coarse is in good shape. Some of the greens are rough.
Great value and overall good course
Read my reviews and did my homework before heading to this course and was definitely surprised based on some iffy reviews I seen online. Course was in great shape 8.5/10 fairways were all very well kept true cuts in grass and yes the greens were a little patch but you can tell they are working on them. This definitely is a beginner challenging course good one to play after you’ve gone out a few times elsewhere with some long par 4s and 3s a bunch of water and a few narrow fairways. Great value for the dollar they have a perfect warm up driving range and a great restaurant for the cool down.
Greens are not good. A lot of sand patches. Very grainy making for slow pace.
Greens have a mixture of grasses & the roll is not true. Also slow.
Much improved
I had played this course a couple of years ago and it was in pretty rough shape. This last time I played it, I had noticed significant improvements all throughout. It is as if the green keeping staff has been taking better care of it. Playing the morning of Christmas day was glorious, because there was not a single soul in sight. They let me play as a single. The price was absolutely right at $25 for walking, especially considering how expensive golf can be in South Florida during peak "winter" season. Although I played from the white tees, the course played pretty long. I would only play from the blues, if you're striping your driver solid. Water is in play on quite a few of the holes, I lost my ball in the water a couple of times. The greens although patchy in some spots (with no grass) were rolled pretty nice, so no major complaints there. The greens don't have many undulations, so if you aim at the pin you'll be pretty safe. I will make this course a frequent stop for me, as the price is right and it has improved quite drastically from what it used to be.
Poor
The course is in bad shape. I played this course about 2 months ago and thought it would be fixed by now. Nothing different especially the greens in bad shape
