Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Needs heavy maintenance
I do like the course layout for it being right next to US 1, but they're the worst greens I've ever seen. Needs MAJOR work
Better off somewhere else
Pace of play is slow but the biggest downfall of this course are the greens. Worst I’ve played in a long time, very patchy greens, some of them have a lot of sand from all the repairs. Very bad greens and needs maintenance ASAP. Hard to believe they are charging what they charged for this course. Only played because I got a hot deal for cheap. Wouldn’t return
Greens
The greens are terrible not worth what they are charging now.
BAD SERVICE
Service was terrible guys in the club house where rude and unprofessional. Course conditions where poor. More dirt on greens then grass. Fairways where dead and dry. Would not recommend!!
Worst greens I’ve ever seen anywhere
Course is in abysmal shape. Can’t imagine a course being as badly cared for as this one. The greens are just terrible. Many have very little grass on them. Would pay more to play anywhere else.
Slow pace, course needs work
2nd time playing at palmetto - the staff is friendly, the course could use some TLC as long as rate is $38 or less it’s fine for 18 holes but if your going to pay more may aswell go some where nicer. The pace of play both times I’ve been here has been horrendous, not for the impatient or the faster paced players. I’d say the courses best feature is the sports grill in the clubhouse.
Good local course
This is a great course to play. It’s wide open, so you won’t lose too many balls, and the hazards are pretty minimal. The first few holes have water hazards, so watch out. The staff is friendly, and professional. They have a nice practice putting green, and great driving range. Excellent selection of drinks from the drink cart, and there’s a Sports Grill for the 19th hole. My only complaint, is that lately, the greens have been pretty rough, but otherwise, it’s wonderful course to play.
Will come back soon
Very nice staff, polite.
Course condition is great except for #17 too much sand at the tee box.
Nice cart girl.
I will be back soon.
Long, not easy and greens need work
Yes this was a good round and I enjoyed it. Pro Shop in superior condition and staff available. Carts are great, course in decent condition but the greens definitely a negative
Otherwise for that money i would recommend it. Go through the pro shop so you pay $30 and not $40
Bad Service
Horrible, Have to pay twice I made my reservation for Sunday and call to change to Monday and they could confirmed the change, but when arrive they notify the change was not made and have to pay again.
I want my money back I had to pay twice.
They should call it waiting and not golf
I waited 5 min per tee on every tee. people cramped behind me while I waited for people ahead of me who were waiting for people ahead of them. So frustrating. Do not want to go back and its my local course.
Awful greens
The greens are awful, full of holes and bare areas. The bunkers have little to no sand. Unfortunately staff doesn't seem to care.
Won’t be back
The pandemic is no excuse to have a course in this bad of shape. Some of the greens we’re not even playable in sections. AOS golfers on the next hole to hit you. There are no barriers between the holes, and often errand shots, right at you. At the end, being instructed by a Marshall on how we need to clean our cart fully ourselves (including the proper way and place to dispose of pencils) was the icing on the cake.
