Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Basic
Basic course. Greens were beat up but the fairways were in decent shape
Poor greens
Most of the greens in the back 9 were patchy and bumpy with moldy-looking areas
Greens hurting
Greens being sanded, but in very rough shape with or without. Just not well attended to. They should ask every golfer to take out one weed per green. That would address the basic problem in a few weeks. Or, get a team of HS students to do the same over the summer.
Some bunkers had almost no sand.
The fairways need work along with the greens
There is Nothing at this course I can say that was worth playing there.
Needs heavy maintenance
I do like the course layout for it being right next to US 1, but they're the worst greens I've ever seen. Needs MAJOR work
Better off somewhere else
Pace of play is slow but the biggest downfall of this course are the greens. Worst I’ve played in a long time, very patchy greens, some of them have a lot of sand from all the repairs. Very bad greens and needs maintenance ASAP. Hard to believe they are charging what they charged for this course. Only played because I got a hot deal for cheap. Wouldn’t return
Greens
The greens are terrible not worth what they are charging now.
BAD SERVICE
Service was terrible guys in the club house where rude and unprofessional. Course conditions where poor. More dirt on greens then grass. Fairways where dead and dry. Would not recommend!!
Worst greens I’ve ever seen anywhere
Course is in abysmal shape. Can’t imagine a course being as badly cared for as this one. The greens are just terrible. Many have very little grass on them. Would pay more to play anywhere else.
Slow pace, course needs work
2nd time playing at palmetto - the staff is friendly, the course could use some TLC as long as rate is $38 or less it’s fine for 18 holes but if your going to pay more may aswell go some where nicer. The pace of play both times I’ve been here has been horrendous, not for the impatient or the faster paced players. I’d say the courses best feature is the sports grill in the clubhouse.
Good local course
This is a great course to play. It’s wide open, so you won’t lose too many balls, and the hazards are pretty minimal. The first few holes have water hazards, so watch out. The staff is friendly, and professional. They have a nice practice putting green, and great driving range. Excellent selection of drinks from the drink cart, and there’s a Sports Grill for the 19th hole. My only complaint, is that lately, the greens have been pretty rough, but otherwise, it’s wonderful course to play.
Will come back soon
Very nice staff, polite.
Course condition is great except for #17 too much sand at the tee box.
Nice cart girl.
I will be back soon.
