Palmetto Golf Course

About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Much improved
The greens have improved drastically in the last month. They are a bit hairy (and slow) but I assume it needs to grow in a bit before they can cut it too close and roll it.
Tee boxes need more wore as many are almost bald.
However, things are progressing in the right direction
Palmetto
Good course. Early tee time led to fast play. Nice greens. Would go back any time.
Slow green dangerous routing
Time to tear this up and rebuild it like plantation preserve. Even if you are fertilizing, you can mow greens tighter and shorter. They were not good to putt on. This layout is bad.
Good holes
Greens are not at standard. Sand traps are not raked and they need sand in a few of the traps.
I am Disabled and they would not allow me the feature at the golf cart to allow me to be closer to the execution.
Cost is way too expensive for the quality of the golf course. Poor value for your money.
$96 is way too much for this course. You are losing many players because of the many issues there and cost.
Course needs attention
Very nice lay out.. Dan does a good job as manager. Needs more interaction.with players. Needs to say hello to people.
Patrick is another story. Does nothing and knows nothing. He is a racist. Volunteers are very un happy.
The cost of playing is way over the vale offered.
The Internet qualifies Palmetto poorly. Greens are poor. The crew cuts them but does not use rollers..
Golf carts are not cleaned every day. You charge $90 and give a golf cart dirty to the player.
No toilets available at clubhouse, was told overflowing, greens were sanded and poor.
Restaurant good, people very friendly.
Cashier
The young lady Amanda that gets the payments need more training on pricing. This is the 3rd time that I get over charged and a credit has been issued. The next time I go and she is there I will wait for the more expensive staff to help me.
Well placed water hazards
This municipal course is a bit high priced compared to nearby private courses. A number of the greens have some water damage or crabgrass invasion.
This course could be great….
This course has a lot of things going for it, the layout is nice and the greens look like they play very fast however the greens were like putting on shag carpet.
