About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Greens need help
Last played 1 year ago and it was in good shape. Very disappointed in condition of the greens. Good layout and fun to play but 20% of each green was dead. Fairways were marginal at best. We will play again but need to give them a couple months to hopefully recover.
Second time to CC of Mount Dora
Very friendly staff in pro shop, starter, on corse ambassador. Somewhat disappointed in half-way house not having hot dogs or sandwiches available at the turn.
Tough layout but fun to play. Greens were just ok. It looks like the oversees didn’t take in many places but still playable. Bunkers could use a little more sand.
I will play it again.

Poor green conditions
The staff at this course were very friendly and course layout was nice. The greens were in terrible shape with hardly any grass. Because the grass was so inconsistent on the greens, the ball did not roll smoothly.. with good greens, reviews would be very good.

Nice course
Front nine is easier then the the back nine, back nine has many of houses around that makes for a good teeshot mostly all of the time so you don’t hot someone’s hours.
Still would go back and play it again.

Tough little course, good conditions
I was quite surprised by the conditions, which were good. Some tight fairways, making it a bit of a challenge. I would play it again.

Greens need love, windy day, pleasant round.
Greens need a little bit more love. Course layout more challenging than anticipated coupled with gusty winds. Pace of play was a little poor but altogether nice day on the course.

Greens are horrible
The greens have really worsened since the last time I played. Dirt and sand spots everywhere on the front 9. The started boasted about the condition of the course but it is in way worse condition than the last time I played about 2 years ago.

Fun layout
Front nine has 3 threes, 3 fours and 3 fives. Fairways and ruff pretty good for January. Greens recently dressed, not as good as usual

You'll Enjoy Your Golf Round Here
Always like to take the ride and play CC @ Mt. Dora. Easy check-in,friendly starter and real fun layout to tackle. On this day there were some thin areas on the fairways but they were receptive to ball striking so no major issues. Some greens had little signs of some fungus, but again, it rarely affected the roll and read. I enjoy the course and drive over an hr. & the half to play which should tell you something. Pace of play was great (maybe the chilly temps kept the crowd down). Looking forward to my next round there.

Always a pleasure to play
CC of Mt Dora is always a pleasure to play. Staff is friendly and inviting. The course layout is challenging & fun - the type of course you could play every day without getting bored. Fairways aren't lusgh like the high-class course, but it's definitely priced Right. I plan on playing CC of Mt Dora several times during my winter stay in Florida even though it's over an hour's drive from my home.

Friendly staff and fun course
I have played here many times and always enjoy it. The driving range is definitely one of the coolest features of the course. Overall very fun to play and would recommend!

worth the drive
there's quite a bit of feature to this course's design...gotta play it a few times before you know where to hit it on some holes.
