Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Worth the drive
Semi-private course. If you play the appropriate tees, you should score well. Greens are in excellent condition as are the fairways. Tee boxes are decent, and bunkers have plenty of sand. Golf carts are excellent. They are still in hysteria mode. No water on the course, no rakes in the bunkers. Finally pulled the Styrofoam out of the holes.
All in all a very nice experience every time I play. Today my golf buddy and I were almost alone on the course, and the weather held with just a slight occasional drizzle. A few wet patches on the fairways due to weather. Enjoyable day. A full 4.5 star rating. I gave her a 5.

Great track
Wonderful course, great condition would definitely play it again really nice golf carts everything about the place was great.
Perplexed
First of all I had no idea I was not booking my tee time through Royal Oaks. My confirmation came from Royal Oaks, not GolfNow. I was required to pay $10.66 online towards a grand total of $156.18 and the balance due at the course was to be $145.52.. My group of 4 each paid $37.45 for a total of $149.80, $4.28 more than what my confirmation stated. The gentleman that checked us in this morning at the course informed me that the $10.66 is a fee that GolfNow charges. That is not what my confirmation states. I should have asked for a manager before leaving and getting this straightened out there.
Great day of golf
Never played the course. I was pleasantly surprised by the maturity and course conditions!
Definitely will go back!
Just plain fun!!
I am an 18 handicapper, and this course was a blast to play. I had 2 different 9’s. 48/43. The course was in great shape. I played the gold tees, and the ONLY negative was the tee boxes could have been mowed a little better than they were. Most were longer than the “norm”. But, staff was great and price was fair. Was able to use golf now. I will be back.
Golf Carts
My friends and I have played this course around a dozen times this year but we will never go back. They now charge $10 if you do not want to share a cart. They have signs on the pro shop door requesting masks to be worn and only two people at a time, but it's okay to sit next to someone you don't live with for four hours? The staff was apologetic and nice but stated the rule came from management. The course is average and is starting to go downhill, certainly not worth the $50 it cost to play at 2pm.
